I've got a Zaccaria Space Shuttle that was originally released in Europe. I've redone the connections to the transformers, but I am wondering if I also need change the fuses in the cabinet accordingly (i.e., double them). My knowledge of electrical engineering tells me that the input current must be boosted in the same proportion that the input voltage have been diminished. But I cannot locate any schematic for the cabinet wiring (it's not part of the schematic that is at ipdb.org, which is the same as the schematic at any other website), and there is no mention of the fuse levels in the manual. I would hazard to guess that Zaccaria may not have even released this title outside of Europe/Australia, thus not having the need to mention any location-specific directions.

There are 4 fuses in the cabinet, with 2 of them being 1.6A, one which is feeds into the outer part of the small transformer, and that I suspect should become 3A, with the other seeming to go to the knocker (which is rated at 50V) and thus should be left as it (the line is #22 gauge, so I figure it must be on the inner side (but who knows?); a 5A that is coming off from the line conditioner element (?) right off of the power cord and that feeds into the outer part of the large transformer, and thus should be 10A; and a 10A that is coming off the inner part of the small transformer.

Obviously I would love for anyone with this title set up at the American mains voltage to comment about what they did about the fuses, or if they even have access to the missing schematic, OR anyone else who could comment on this from experience in intercontinental pin moves.

    Hello,
In my opinion, the only fuse that needs to be changed is the "general" fuse mounted on the power line.
All those mounted after the transformer do not need to be replaced since the output voltage should be the same, whether it is 110v or 230v.

The rule for this fuse can be inspired by the Gottlieb SYSTEM 80, where the power supply arrives also on a transformer. For US models, a simple transformer was used, but for exports models (Japan and Europe) a more complex transformer was used (while Japan was also in 110 volts). This one had basically, two primary windings mounted either in parallel (in 110 volts) or in series (in 220-230 volts). The only fuse that changed was actually the fuse of the sector (F9). In 115 VAC, it is a 5 A SB, whereas in 230 VAC it is a 2.5 A SB.

So, the rule is simple : for 110 VAC, double the value used in 230 VAC.

For Zaccaria Space Shuttle, yes, the schematic is missing for the transformer !
But as far as I know, it is no so far away from the Gen. 2. Of course, some Gen. 1 use a second transformer and the Gen. 2 has a fuse/voltage-selector switch. The Gen. 2 transformer is quite simple, with multiple primary inputs:

Looking at the pictures at http://www.zaccaria-pinball.com/gen1/transformers.html , the Gen. 1 transformer is about the same and not very complex.
There is also some infos here for changing the input voltage of Gen. 1
