Bug eyes was also a stereotype. Racism hasn't been funny for a while now, except to racists.

Personally, I love fried chicken (especially KFC extra crispy), watermelon, BBQ, et. al. other stereotypical foods, and I'm as pale white as they come (goes with being red-headed - what's left of it at this stage of life, anyway). I'm not saying the pic is appropriate (especially since it is obviously doctored), I've just never understood the stereotype given how common those foods were for us on the lower class side of Tulsa in the late 70's - early 80's.

Super obvious that it was. Some of us here have African Americans in our immediate families (mine through marriage and adoption) and I don't know about you but I'm not too cool with people mocking my family.

I initially read it as chubby kid likes fried chicken, (which I also didn’t think was very funny), but now that I think about it, I can see where you guys are coming from.
I was less happy about the TNT joke, but just kinda rolled my eyes and continued scrolling.

I dunno if it was meant to be as well. Jeff seems to be a good guy.. just systematic and not really funny. There wasn't even a caption. So what is the joke then?
If you don't think (or don't know) it's racist just Google why people make jokes about black people eating chicken
