Bihorel, a digital artist based in Paris, created the image titled “Winter Sleep” in January of this year. He never expected the artwork to go viral with the claim that it was Mount Susitna. Other posts even claimed the art was a depiction of a mountain in Kyrgyzstan.
“I find it amusing to see how people need to believe that some fantastic things may have happened,” Bihorel said. “I think that in these hard times, everybody needs a bit of fantasy in their life.”
A Facebook post of “Winter Sleep” with the caption “The Sleeping Lady Mountain, about 33 miles northwest of Anchorage Alaska,” has been shared almost 500,000 times and has around 50,000 likes.

I was thinking to myself, this is fricking amazing. How could it have ever happened? It was so remote a drone was needed to find it and it has gone unnoticed all these years. It is so perfect too, I can’t believe it is real. And alas, it’s not.
Using a pallet as a stable building material is dumb. Building a tall structure from them is so dangerous, it is usually only done in Tailand, China and Hong Kong and losing a few people along the way is par for the course, as are cave ins and implosions.
Besides the fact this one is so tall you may wonder how it is being built. Along the right side is an ant colony of people, positioned one per level and they are passing crates up to the roof, where a few people are positioning them.
