Ha, hah, I was just sitting back and enjoying the comments! ... but since you asked.
In my defense, I didn't exactly, blindly throw down my $$ and "roll the dice". I'm new to pins but have over 40 vids and trade back and forth all the time. It's not my first rodeo as they say.
The person I bought from was not a total stranger. I've bought several games from him before, looked him in the eye, and shook hands on some good deals. He's even been to my house picking up and dropping off games. He told me it worked and I believed him. Did I have a 100% moneyback guarantee? No, but if things were horribly wrong I'm confident he would stand by it.
If there are things that needs attention I'm very lucky that I have local, passionate, hobbiests to help me out. I'd helped out a friend with some of his vids and he's tweaking, shopping my Funhouse for the cost of materials (and maybe some pizza and beer.
He's a busy man so it may take a few weeks to get my machine back but when I do I'll post picts for you to see, (and pick apart, KIDDING!... kinda . He hasn't sent me any "Uh oh" emails so I'm optimistic.
Yes, I took a risk, a calculated risk. Funhouse is the pin I loved as a teenager and the one I've wanted for some time. Yes, I've seen some available cheaper but they were usually far away or I didn't have the $$. I saw this one, had the $$, and went for it. Its too early to call but I doubt I would lose any $$ if I decided to sell this machine (Doubtful) in a few years.
To be continued.
