I have been tinkering with a problem that has developed in my steps diverter. It's been intermittently working but sometimes stays open so it's diverted to the steps every time. I checked the mech and coil and for any loose or broken wire connections and everything seems good. Tonight the trap door has been flakey also now sometimes staying open and not shutting when it's supposed to and other times working fine. Any ideas of where to start here? Both coils fire In Test mode.

It's not the return spring. I did a little more investigating and found that once the trap door is open it will not shut and I think I can hear the coil trying to close it?

Bump. Also when I turn the game on I hear three or four clicks. I'm thinking it's the coil on the trap door trying to shut it as it starts the game open now. Still have no idea what might be happening with the steps diverter.
