I downloaded the rev L9.05h romset.

U6 is the CPU
U18 is sound

Correct??

The readme notes inside the zip label the roms

U6_L3
U18_L9.05h

This looks backwards to me lol

Which is which?
U6_L3
U18_L9.05h

Thanks for your help in advance!

U 18 is sound and 9.05 is for cpu at u6.

U18_L9.05h Is sound rom??

I just installed what your referring to and to use the 9.05h game rom you need the u18 upgraded sound rom to get all the benefits of the game rom. You also have to switch a diode on the cpu depending on what rom u had before....

I have the game rom working.

I think I read the L3 sound rom needs to be on a d27c020. If this is true do I need to change a jumper ?

Will the new L3 fit on a d27c010?

Well unfortunately i cant help u there lol bc i just ordered the roms and installed where i was told and i had to change a jumper for the bigger game rom . If u have the game rom working than your jumper is probably allready on w2 which is what u want. Only thing i know about sound roms are you need l-2 and u18 is a special one to work with the home rom...

Where can I get the L-9.05H rom for Funhouse?

I've the tried the one on ipdb, and it doesn't work for me. The L3 sound rom worked, but not the 9.05h game rom. I've burned it onto two different chips (both 2meg) and I've tried every which way to no avail.

The file names are switched around too in the zip file.

Just went through the search for FH ROM 9.05H. Finally found it and here is a link to download: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jd85os8e9qmtsrc/AAAliLyJmTdDpMOdGLJmPfkba?dl=0

It includes:

fh_u14.sl2 Sound U14 L2
fh_u15.sl2 Sound U15 L2
fh_u18.sl3 Sound U18 L4
funh_l9.rom Game ROM L9
funh_m9.rom Game ROM L9 with nonghosting patch for LEDs
fh_905h.rom Game ROM L9.05 (has nonghosting patch)

I tested all of these and they work. You'll have to match EPROM to the various ROMS 27C020/27C2001 for game roms and 27C010 /27C1001 for sound.

Resurrecting, because Took me forever to figure out this issue, hopefully saves another person a bunch of time and frustration. It’s important to note that the 9.05H version rom is 512kb in size requiring it to be burned on a M27C4001 (512kb chip) not a 256kb M27C2001 as it wont work. The L9 and M9 versions are 256kb in size and therefore will work on the mentioned chip types below.
