So I had some time today and finally got the last bits I needed for the playfield. Hooked everything up and flipped the switch and jumped back...
Oh, is that a Funhouse playfield all lit up? Yep
Ran through a few tests, everything seemed A-OK!
I'm waiting on one part before the playfield can go back in, then just the requisite tweaks to any game after this degree of work. And yeah, I'm waiting on legs. I had a ton of new legs here, but they got used in the basement on machines there with really nasty legs.

Thanks all...yep, good feeling to say the least! Unfortunately back to work tomorrow, so the last little bit will take the longest, but I expect playfield to be in its home shortly. Let's get a ball in that shooter lane!
If you're feeling bad about your game being done, I have plenty of work to do on mine! Swing on up north a bit.
If you need legs right away, I have 4 new ones that came off the Scared Stiff when I got the NEW, new powdercoated legs...

DRIVE OVER NOW !!! What are you waiting for ?!!?

Ted, I will let you know...I placed the order from Terry, but if they don't ship, you might find me at your doorstep tomorrow

You still never did the rails to complete everything
Quoted from Pinchroma:You still never did the rails to complete everything
You are correct! It's over my pay grade.
I heard you have to get new rails as when you remove the old ones, they get messed up. (that is, if I knew HOW to remove them)
Let me know when you're doing that color again...

You can remove the old rails if you are VERY careful with a putty knife and a ton of patience But for new rails from terry they are like 30 bucks so it almost doesn't pay not to get new ones.
Quoted from spfxted:Do you have rails in stock?
Pinball life has raw rails for cheap....
Quoted from spfxted:Do you have rails in stock?
Rails no.. Widebody lockdown bars yes
Quoted from AZDbacker:Please take a day off work and power though this! The suspense is KILLING me Great job so far!!
I'm getting there Waiting on a few things which mostly should be here tomorrow, weather permitting.
Good chance Ill get the playfield in the cabinet tonight or tomorrow, get the translight in...
Tomorrow the legs should be here as well as the flipper switches. Hopefully I can also get Rudy touched up and back home...at that point it's hopefully going to be done and ready to get some play on it in a day or two!
Still waiting on one piece to be painted which I sent out and a new speaker panel, but all little stuff. This puppy is almost done!
Is it wrong that I'm likely going to sell it for a Stern when it's done?
Quoted from NJGecko:Is it wrong that I'm likely going to sell it for a Stern when it's done?
Not wrong if it's Star Trek Prem
Quoted from spfxted:Not wrong if it's Star Trek Prem
I know I know. I'm torn between ST Prem and AC/DC Prem...I liked star trek an awful lot, but I feel like everyone LOVES AC/DC so I must be "broken" if I don't
And you all thought it was going back together for good..
It got beheaded again today and moved into the basement since I've now been given the entire space. And my parts didn't come in the mail due to the snow, so it's going to be a few days.
I did get it on legs though and hopefully playfield will go into its new home in a bit, but spent time with the family today, so that comes first!
I wanted to make some headway this morning with what parts I have.
So last night got the machine on it's brand new legs which is nice!
I also popped in the brand new rottendog display. When I first got the game, the display didn't work so I picked up a new one. Turned out the original display was good, but I figure may as well use the LED since it's a lot more efficient. I will probably include the original one with the machine if the new owner wants an option when the time comes.
And here we have it. Funhouse hanging out in its new home. Hopefully playfield will go in very soon. I want to get Rudy touched up and in before that. I figure I have plenty of access to the playfield now, so no reason to have to wiggle around it in the machine just yet.
And yeah, I'm waiting for a new speaker panel which is en route.
The neat thing when I plugged it in is that it completed the audio loop so I got the first sound out of it since it's been torn down....it's coming to life!

Very cool photo, this looks like some alien abduction operating room photo to me. The rotisserie is a gurney...
We all can't wait... If we are lucky, we'll get to see some home movies of you playing it, with the cat I mean the superintendent observing your play.

I was on the fence whether to put the playfield together. I'm waiting for some stuff which may be a little challenging to get back in afterwards, but here's the good stuff...
Rudy got his new jaw. And this one I installed with correct e-clips and not just twisty-wire

And here's tonight's handywork...
Yep. Playfield home, rudy feeling much more like himself. Everything hooked up.
Tomorrow I'm going to break out the new translight.
I was really really uneasy putting the playfield in. The old one was missing so many parts in the pivot area I was worried that it wouldn't mount properly, scrape the sides, or something, but it went in smoother than I could have hoped for.
So what's left? Waiting on new flipper switches, new apron decals, and a new speaker panel, but that's it.
And then making it all work. In running through the tests, I was pleased that Rudy passed all of his tests.
Definitely a bittersweet thing.

I hope you get to play it a bunch before finding it a new home
Funny thing is that I won't play it much. The other games I've put this much time into were the same way. Once it's done I just want it to be gone because I feel like I make the game nice and as close to pristine as I can and if I play it it's not like that any more. Suddenly the rubbers get dirty. Ball trails start growing. It's not the way I made it.
Not sure if that makes sense.
Still shocked at how much work you put in for a pin you aren't keeping. Someone is very lucky to buy this pin. It's going to be perfect!
Maybe this could be your second career
