I had a similar prob (but only with 1 or 2 digits on the display). I re-seated the ribbon cables and that fixed it for me.
Post a good picture of the CPU board and of the ribbon cable at both ends at the CPU and at the display board. I'm hoping just the ribbon cable is plugged in wrong on one end.

I reseated all of the ribbon cables and it seemed to have fixed it. Weird because I hadnt touched the game in a month or two lol
