Funhouse driver board heatsink question

Hi, I have my driver board out of Funhouse to replace a broken BR4 (F111 is blowing).

Looking at the back of the board, it seems burnt under the heatsink attached to the transister cap. Would it be a good idea to unsolder the cap, replace the mica? insulator and add new heatsink compound? Or just leave well enough alone?

It's not a transistor... it is a 3amp +5 volt regulator. I would fix all the cold solder joints...
I would fix the tantalum capacitor and put it in the correct spot [cut and jump].
Then test...

If the 5V rail is Ok why do anything other than resolder any dry joint as mentioned in last post.
The FR4 pcb will heat up with that wattage of heatsink.
I think all WPC boards do.
