Ok while working on my FH restoration, I came across something odd on my serial number decal. Anyone else have a 'low power' Funhouse?

Quoted from zerbam:what would be the best glue to glue some cracks in the back of Rudy's head? They start at the mounting screw holes and go into his ears. ........figured I would glue from the inside
Maybe some five minute epoxy over some fiberglass mesh? You may want to test the epoxy on a descrete bit of the plastic first to make sure it won’t melt it.
Has anyone found a replacement for the trapdoor crank assembly (Williams part A-14160)? Mine is worn pretty flat.
Quoted from zerbam:sorry just seen that they are currently out of stock
Everyone seems to be out of stock.
Quoted from Heaterguy:Well i pulled all the chips out of their sockets, took a isopropyl alcohol pad and wiped them reinstalled them correctly waited about a minute turn the game on now there's no sound at all. Suggestions?
Check to make sure the chips in your sound card are seated correctly. Sometimes when you remove and re-insert a chip, one of the legs can fold under the chip, and not make contact with the socket.
Quoted from Heaterguy:Removed and reinstalled 2nd time, verified all pins are correct, still no sound. I am pretty sure my problem is in one of these sockets. Is it possible they are corroded down inside? The pins did not look bad however some of the sockets looked Dusty I wiped the socket surfaces but did not spray anything into the sockets not sure if that was a good idea. The reason I did this was because after initial power-up and getting the one dang I would play the game for 10 minutes and the sound would degrade and distort badly as it heated up. I haven't been able to find anything in the pinside knowledge base about distorting sound on a funhouse.
Distorted sound could be any number of problems with the sound board. It is possible that a bad connection at one of the chips is not keeping the board from booting. With the chips in the board, you could use the wiring diagram to check for continuity between the legs of the chips, and the next component downstream on the board.
Quoted from wfumed2:Rudy's lips on my machine have taken a beating. Has anyone figured out the exact color red of the original that would match if I wanted to touch up the missing paint spots?
Even if you had the exact brand and color of the original paint, I don't think it would match. Reds in general are the worst for fading over time. I don't think you will be able to repaint the lips without doing some color mixing.
I’ve got a question for those of you who have swapped your original playfield for a Mirco. Did you have to drill out the hole for the post I’ve circled on the attached picture?25B7AFF7-028C-4659-A26E-558C8F239AB0 (resized).jpeg
How was the post held in place (Tee nut or lock nut)?
My original playfield appears to be messed up in this area, and I’m not entirely sure it was stock.
Quoted from arcadenerd925:looks like i did have to drill out mine as well, see old VS new

Looks like I will have to drill mine out as well.
I drilled out the hole last night. I am finding that I can use a fresh drill bit and turn it by hand over a hole to scrape off the clear coat before I drill any holes. My post is not stock (the picture I used came off the internet), and is held in with a screw on the bottom. To help keep the hole straight, I drilled a smaller pilot hole first, and then went back and drilled my final hole.
Getting this new playfield put together is taking a lot longer that I thought it would. It doesn't help that lately I have only been able to work on it an hour or so at a time, as I am also trying to juggle my shop time between my FH and and repainting my Sorcerer cabinet.
I came across something interesting. Some one posted pictures of a trapdoor assembly on a Dialed-In. It looks identical to the one used in Funhouse. I wonder of the crank arm would work in a Funhouse?

Are there three or four wire guides on the playfield? I only count three guides, but for some reason I have four in my parts box. The only three I see are on the right side of the playfield below the pop bumpers. Is there a fourth one somewhere I have missed?
Quoted from zerbam:looks like there is 4......all of them are on that right side........one is under the edge of the light blue plastic.......the small one in between the posts and the other two lane dividers

Thanks!
I am in the process of restoring my funhouse, and I believe I may be missing a hex spacer. In particular, one of the spacers that attached to the playfield rail on the right side of the playfield that the main ramp attaches to. Could some one measure the spacers and tell me how long they are? I also have not found the hex spacers with the bases available for sale anywhere. Does anyone have a source for them?
Quoted from BobLangelius:I think the bases unscrew from the standoffs
Well at least I still have the base. I just need to know what size stand off goes with it.
