I looked on YouTube & didn't see any Funhouse L9 or 9.05 ROM videos. Would any of you with any version ROM post it on YouTube & link it here please? Thanks

Maybe it has always been like this but since I have a new ROM version & NVRAM..... when I switch the power off there is a very loud crack type sound which I'm thinking is from the speakers. Is this normal?

#246 8 years ago
Quoted from dsuperbee:

Yup, mine does it as well, with the normal batteries. There was a bunch of boards made YEARS ago (8-10?) to eliminate that noise. Might want to put a WTB post up, I am sure they are still floating around.

Thanks for the reply. Would you or somebody know which board I should search for to eliminate this or is it not a big deal just annoying?

Anyone know what goes in the hole that's circled?

I was at a local pinball arcade & saw this blue balloon plastic in the place I asked about. Not sure if it's the correct item that goes therected but it looks good.

I ordered a "Funhouse" canopy light from Pinbits that's above the trap door.

Have any of you ordered the same thing? Did it go in easy? Any pictures?

#333 7 years ago

It took 2 minutes to switch the white LED to a red & screw in the new canopy.

The 2 middle buttons work moving the volume up & down but will not when I want to do tests with the same buttons. Any ideas why? Thanks

Ok.. this is strange. My Terminator 2 is doing the same thing... will only do book keeping.

Quoted from dsuperbee:

Flakey switches probably

Yea.. I bet & hope you are right. I messed with them & it was ok again. My T2 was kind of acting flaky also. I wonder if it's from the dry air...

My bottom 2 displays do not light up at all. I re-seated the cables. Any other ideas? Thanks

Quoted from pablotorres:

Check ground braids and apply contact cleaner spray in the backbox board and check the board ground with the corners screws.

Ok, I'll check ground braids... Thanks for the reply

Quoted from dahlman:

Finally, got the display in the mail today
Boom! Now working 100% Rudy is back in business.
Stage 2 will be some new plastics and minor pf touch up’s.

Nice ! Can you mention where you got the display? The bottom display in my Funhouse does not work and I'm looking at getting either just that one or the whole thing.

Quoted from HIPPY:

I just got a new Rottendog display from K’Arcade. It’s a good one.

Try K’Arcade, good quality, I put one in mine, easy, really like it.Rottendog brand.

Thanks for the link.

Just curious if there's another option? I like the LED idea but I've seen games with this at Fargo Pinball & it's not very attractive. I suppose a new original style display would be very expensive?

I'm not sure if this is happening because of installing a new Rottendog Led display or just a coincidence but all of a sudden the ball will not kick out into the shooter Lane. Any ideas? Thanks

This board would not be needed since I have coin taker super bright non ghosting LEDs right?

Quoted from Scoot:

I think I like the colored incandescent in the mirror. Everything else is led.[quoted image]

I like how yours look. They have more of a Funhouse carnival feel to them. Mine are just frosted colored LEDs.

Where did you get those? Are they colored glass?

Quoted from Markharris2000:

1. You CAN replace the FH CPU board RAM with NVRAM and then remove the batteries completely. I have a new one of the replacement NVRAM chips sitting on my shelf. (I will have to look at the number on it tonight)
2. MOST CPU boards do NOT have the RAM chip in a socket. That means you need to remove the existing chip and put a socket in. Not for the faint of heart. This is why may folks just remote the batteries to solve much of the same issue.
Note: Putting an NVRAM chip in and then removing the batteries entirely will disable the internal clock in FH. Not sure if that matters to you, but it will no longer keep the current time/date if the battery is no longer installed. It will work fine, just the time clock will no longer be accurate.

I plan on removing the NVRAM & use lithium batteries
attached off the board so it keeps the current time/date.

I'll do the same for my other games some of which have midnight madness mode.

A big reason is for nostalgia.... why I prefer using coin mechs/no free play.
