Marco specialties sells replacement IDC connectors and the tool to reset the wires, re-pinning is also a good idea. for a quick temp fix try unplugging and using a horsehair brush rub the pins and plug back in.

The problem revolves around 25 year old IDC connectors, replace them where and when you can, it solves alot of problems.

I'll give you 2k for it

Quoted from paynemic:

One seemed to fail so I wrapped it in tinfoil to test and still no go.

I don't know you but that doesn't solve the problem.

Has anyone else tried FL-11629 flipper coils on Funhouse? don't do it, it's such a jump in power you can't lock a ball, blows right through most of the time plus a lot more air balls bashing parts, painful to watch. stick to the manual and use 11630's.

Very Nice! don't forget to add the two blue rubber pads down the road - > 23-6629

Quoted from dsuperbee:

Funhouse originally did not have those on the ramps, except a small rectangle on the Steps ramp, diagonally across from the lower right corner of the steps plastic

Ah yes, I remember I had to "customize" them with a knife and some sand paper so the ball could actually fall down the hole on the wireform. Been a few years and I forgot about that sliver! another peice needing cutting.

Quoted from Lermods:

Here's a video of the Undercab light I installed

That is really cool! looks great!

I was tinkering with my funhouse today, fixed wire breaks in rudys head, misaligned left shooter rod, coil change. Put the glass on, let it warm up, started a game seemed to go well then.. Ball found a screwdriver, I had to laugh thought I'd share it, I'm always super careful about that stuff.

are you making decals? possible one of the folks that restore playflields might be able to help.

I'm saving up for a playfield swap, my inserts held up better then the wood around them unfortunately especially the clock area where bare wood is showing.. keeping my eyes out for a trashed playfield to swap parts to so I can send this one out for a makeover.

That switch problem would be annoying, but intermittent switch problems are even more annoying...

I blame the connector housings for the switches if I had to bet on it.

Congrats on your purchase, looks like the game just needs some cap upgrades and some connector ends to start on.

Hmm your saying it but I don't believe what your saying.. it's difficult to understand these problems, Funhouse's flipper delivery is through the power board. The switches on the matrix are the cabinet switches, maybe I said too much already I don't know : )

1990 Williams games are as simple as they get for pinball, EM games are way more complicated. There is seriously no reason for funhouse to cause any grief. PM me and I'll try to walk you though issues because what you see isn't a big deal.. really. 1990 I think is the best year, prior to Flipronic and even then.

I feel these perceived issues revolve around the quality of pinball owners as compared to a few years ago when owners had an idea of what pinball machines are.. I digress

Just joined the club with a very sweet new playfield, new cab art beauty! I am been searching for this grail pin for 2 years! You know this just might be the best pinball machine of all time! Best, Charlie
