What's the going rate on a routed forever needs a total restoration non working , dirty , worn playfield, faded cabinet needs a total restoration Funhouse?
So I finally got my Funhouse, mine was 2600 from a great family that had it in their house broken and in disrepair for a really long time. I consider this game to be my all-time favorite and spared no expense on the restore. I considered a new playfield but after I removed the mylar I was shocked at how nice the playfield looked. Only thing left to do is get ramps when I see them back in stock but for now my ramps are more than acceptable. Below is most of the stuff I did on it.
1. New trap door assembly
2. Completely rebuilt Rudy head. The whole thing is brand new except for the top face plate and a few coils. Other than that all new. He was completely blown out
3. New rear flipper coil/sleeve/arm
4. New blue LED score board
5. replaced all the lights with a LED kit (Pinballbulbs.com) best kit I ever purchased
6. replaced plastics where needed, ended up replacing only 2 or 3 at the end of the day
7. Pulled the mylar up on the main part of the playfield and removed all the glue. Polished it up real nice
8. Leveled all the raised inserts and used wood glue to keep them in place (there were many)
9. New rubber
10. New legs
11. Fixed opto that is by Rudy’s face so when you hit him he yells at you
12. New lockdown bar, also cleaned up the lockdown receiver because the old bar had a ton of wiggle to it
13. New glass
14. New glass frame in the back of the playfield that holds the sheet in place
15. Sanded the head, repainted the backbox frame, touched up the inside cab where needed
16. Replaced the rear scoop drain, for some reason on the old one the ball would just stick in there and not go into the subway
17. Cliffy protectors
18. New lampshade over the trapdoor
19. LED trap door / scoops mod that lights up the inside of the drains
20. LED flipper buttons
21. Pinball Pro speaker kit and subwoofer upgrade (in the mail)
22. Touched up coin door
23. Replaced all the star posts with new ones
24. Replaced screws/tnuts where needed
25. New pinballs
26. Scrubbed subway perfectly clean (It was BLACK)
Good Lord….I did a lot of work but at the end of the day I have my Funhouse in the condition it deserves to be in.
So this picture was taken this past Friday, after I installed the LED flippers, and the scoop mods. Everything was working great. On Saturday I turned on my game and two seconds later I blow fuse F113, pulled out all the mods, put a new fuse in and tried again, same thing. I read somewhere it might be a blown bridge rectifier/cap (BR2/C5). The parts are in the mail and I am going to give it ago. All the LED’s are on in the board except for the 5v one. I am hoping this will fix the problem. The game was working perfectly fine for hours after I put all that stuff in, then the next morning BAM! Nothing…
Am I on the right track here?
Looks like a typical well-routed Rudy! I dig the fix for the missing centering flange: Simply bend the mounting bracket!
awesome coin door man, got my game back up just an hour ago, BR2 was fried...
the Funhouse is open for business
Does anyone happen to have a copy of the Williams addendum/service bulletin they sent to operators for the installation the trap door stop bracket? Marco now sells these and it's pretty straightforward how it should installed but I just want to double check against the original instructions. Thanks

It just screws in. I can't recall having seen the service bulletin for it (and I am sure it is not up on ipdb) but the edge rest on the trap door, mark the hole, screw it in.

could someone help plz.
I have one. It's not in the best shape, but it's free!

I have most of my old set sitting in a bag. If anyone needs that odd piece and doesn't mind that it's "used" let me know here in this thread with a pic and I'll try to help if I can.
Help please! If you could look at my attached pic...I don't even know what to call that piece...shooter lane cover thingy? Mine has an issue, as the picture clearly shows. Does anyone know who sells them / what to call them / how to get a new one of them? Any help greatly appreciated, thank you! IMG_4075_(2)_(resized).jpeg

Is it cracked or is the sticker just messed up?
It's an apron/shooter lane part if it's cracked.
It's the shooter gauge plate. A quick search turned up an unfinished one at Bay Area Amusements here: http://bayareaamusements.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=BAA&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=SH-31-1009
General P/N 31-1009. Funhouse P/N 31-1009-50003
That's it! Thanks to both of you for that. So far I haven't found the decals anywhere for it (although I also found the one broken plastic I would also need). So, if someone is a better searcher than I am (easy to do) and knows where the decals for a shooter gauge plate can be had, I would appreciate that as well. Bless Pinside for good people like you who help us less experienced ones

I might. I still have a couple of boxes stashed in the attic from our recent move and among them is a box of FH bits and pieces. I need to dig through it for my own FH resto that I'm working on so if you can wait a few days or a week you may be in luck. Will let you know.
While I'm here can anyone help me out with with a close-up pic of the Hidden Hallway and bumper pad bracket on the Steps ramp? Mine was missing and I can't seem to find the part numbers for those pieces so I'm going to make my own.
Also, anyone know the correct part number for the brackets that mount on the side rails or does anyone have two they are willing to sell?
Thanks
Hey just finished with funhouse restoration

Perfect - many thanks!!

No problem. If you're making the brackets, you might want consider making one large bracket instead of the two. Just seems like it would be easier.
I need new coil plunger and link for outhole kicker. Manual states its part 03-7066... Can't find that and assuming there's a replacement. Anyone know appropriate replacement?
Thanks!

The A-8335 is the assembly that you need. The 03-7066 is the sleeve.
It's cheaper at Marco's http://www.marcospecialties.com/control/keywordsearch;jsessionid=50CFBFFCBDA6340AB340FAE279345272.jvm1?SEARCH_STRING=a-8335

Great, thank you.
Anyone have a set of the pop bumper decals they would be willing to sell? Most local places are out of stock at the moment. LSOH has them for $7.50 but the shipping is $11.00!!

Yeah...that's what I had to do. Just buy some other stuff from him that you might need...Curly's got some pretty cool stuff down there.
I'm trying to find a fh, nice player game with minimal pf wear. Not looking for perfection, but don't like pf wear either. Cliffy's to cover wear at scoops is fine. If anyone is thinking of selling in the nj area, please contact me. Thx

Glad to be able to help. Your coin door is awesome!
Anyone know what it is or where it goes?
http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/01-9499
Its line item 826 in the IPDB parts list and comes right after the ramp flap so I'm thinking it probably goes under the ramp entrance. I didn't find one of these during my teardown

Looks like it's to position the diverter shaft.
Quoted from txx3ddq442:Anyone know where I can get these little right-angle brackets they riveted to plastics? Or what the part number even?
IMG_4101_(resized).JPG
I just re-riveted them to the new plastics after polishing in the tumbler. Any way you can drill those out and re-rivet? Or is that not a picture of your actual assembly?
Ah - makes sense now. Thanks.
The part number for those plastics brackets: 01-9010. Marco has them as the very cheap price of $2.99 EACH!!!!!

Might be easier and cheaper to make them out of some flashing.

I figured if I could find them for $0.25 a piece or something, I'd leave the old ones intact rather than risk damaging them or the plastics. But at $3 each, I'll pop out the rivets and reuse the "mounting legs" on my shiny new plastics.
here are some update pics.
the backbox is now finished also
and the metal parts are ready, now i can complete the machine in the next days

Looking good!! Did you have the guide rails chromed or did you polish them to that finish? Either way the look fantastic!
