Quoted from Zablon:

You have to keep in mind the context of when this game came out. It was pretty state of the art at that point and it's endgame was not something you just got to in your 2 minutes of paid game play. It really was the jumping point of what was about to come in pinball. The scoop was specifically just a prime eject to get the ball to the right flipper to hit the ramp - mostly for the steps activation hole. I would say much of the budget on this game went to the Rudy head design/coding/voicing.

oh, absolutely and memory was expensive to boot!. As pinball has evolved and I have changed as a player, I was finding less and less that brought me back to the game and were on the cusp of selling it. The layout is great on the game and after owning and seeing what BOP 2.0 did for that game, I had said that a 2.0 of this game would really be great. Thankfully, that's coming true now!....now to get F14 2.0

Quoted from pinheadpierre:

What else are you thinking of that could be better utilized? I’m a new club member, so I haven’t had a lot of play time to ponder the potential for improvement.

STEP targets could be used for something. There's a whole mode right there.

#303 2 years ago

Approval goes well? or similar as FATHOM? 6 months and nothing...

I would imagine the mode Duck Hunt could use the step targets like in API's Oktoberfest.

This looks awesome. Funhouse is my wife's favorite game and we can't wait to try it at Arkadium someday.

YouTube, our Facebook, some pinball media like Pinball magazine...

PPS have a kit here in Sparks, NV now, but will have another one in another Funhouse at Press Start, Reno (as soon as it opens hopefully this month).

It's real and it works!

#313 2 years ago

Is it fun?

#314 2 years ago

it's FUN and it's in da HOUSE ...

#315 2 years ago

Definitely looking forward to getting ours. Will definitely be streaming it as soon as we can

#316 2 years ago

Exciting that we’re getting close - hoping there are aspects of modes that would require/encourage shooting for the pops and right scoop since there’s really no reason whatsoever to shoot for the right side of the playfield in the original code.

Im still not sold on the artwork, Ill have to see it in person.

However this simple, easy to use method of choosing of OG vs Nightmare is absolutely the best!

Hopefully Ill get mine soon.

Its gonna be EPIC!

I was just notified by Nicholas that my shaker routines will be included in the Regular version 1.0 of Funhouse!
(They are making up a new and different routine for the funhouse 2.0, Both will be supported)

This is incredible news! The Funhouse shaker adds so much to the game, super frenzy is amazing!

If youre on the fence about adding the shaker, just do it.

You will never look back...

Is it only the shaker that plugs into the pinsound XL or is that mini shaker board required too?

Thats well and good, but I want it in MY HOUSE, lol.......

This looks so incredible, Thanks Rick (PPS) and Pedretti for making it happen!

Quoted from WizzardRob:

Its the motion control system.

a shaker and a board for the backbox and some cables.

It takes about 25 min to install.

The motion control has low, medium and high settings via a slide switch on the little controller board.

I installed mine high up on the right side panel of the backbox, all the way against the back wall.
This way the light the light insert board doesnt hit it.

Plug the cable into it to make sure of the cable lengths before sticking it down.

I have it set on medium and its about perfect, but on high it will rattle the whole game!

#322 2 years ago

Yes the motion control is used with the normal pinsound board but i understand that the mod is equipped with a new pinsound xl board with lots of added features. Is the motion control board required here or is it on bord already?

I am just about to order the shaker kit...

I sent an email to be put on the list but never got a response! How do I know if I’m in line to get the kit?

It might be awhile before your post is seen. Please email Sara at PPS. See if she can help.

I think with all the improvements in 2.0 that one of the more obvious upgrades is to swap out the factory speakers.

So, what is the better upgrade, flipper fidelity, pinsound or other?

It comes with speakers in the speaker panel.

#332 2 years ago

If they start doing this with all the older machines like whirlwind, earth shaker etc, I'm definitely screwed big time. I already have no room and no money left . Oh well.. time to donate sperm I guess, I heard it pays pretty well.

#333 2 years ago

Huh, you are right. I didn’t see what type of speakers they include they say “high quality” but it still might be beneficial to opt for a kit.

I have flipper fidelity in mine already, so I'm gonna try theirs out and see if I wanna swap

Nice find.

You really should move the games away from the window to prevent color fade on cabinet or cover the windows with blinds or similar.
