Cash is hand is key! I've picked up nonworking EM pinball machines for $75 knowing its going to take TONS of TLC to get it working. But rerubber, lots of cleaning and fixing can turn in to $400 or more! Take that money, and buy a dead SolidState and keep working your way up to your "keeper". This is one reason why the Iowa Pinball Club's website has the section.

Plus its a great feeling when one of your members tells you that they picked up that Revenge from Mars games submitted to the site!
