Quoted from FunkyFreshWalrus:So Full Throttle bit the big one this weekend at a show. Got the Error Installing Updates warning, and nothing else. Anyone know where I can get the images I need to get it back up and running?
There doesn't seem to be much of a community around FT, as there is around Alien. Having had my Alien crap out on me after a failed update, I was concerned about my FT suffering the same fate one day so I had planned to boot it up on a linux rescue flashdrive and clone the HD but I haven't done it yet. If no-one comes up with a full install in the meantime I hope to do it sometime soon and will post here afterwards.

Quoted from PinChatt:I agree that there isn't much of a community around FT. It makes it a bit more of a challenge to maintain it.
I actually like the game and I have mine at my Pinball Museum set on free play! I've gotten pretty good at keeping it working and have a decent stash of spare parts.
Were you ever able to find a replacement plastic for the right ramp entry? Mine was recently broken from an air ball and I don't have a spare.
No luck finding the plastic I'm afraid, although Tjohejsan probably has one or more in his trove (pics above) but I couldn't persuade him to sell me one.
Quoted from Pinhead306:Thinking of trading my Houdini for a ft. The ft has an issue so I’m a bit nervous but I really liked the game when I played it. It is blowing a fuse when it auto launches but if the auto launch coil is unhooked it works fine other then no auto plunge. To me it sounds like something grounding out. Is this something anyone else has run into and is it fixable? Any help would be great. Cheers
Check the resistance of the coil, should be a few ohms. If less than maybe 2 ohms, it could be shorted but thats an unusual fault in my opinion. Try another coil, they are not very expensive, or borrow one from another mech in the machine. Might be worth checking you have the right fuse, T6.3A (slow blow) I think.
Quoted from visualmagic:Shame no reply on my request, I guess no plastics survived.
I spoke to someone in Austria a while back who had some alien playfields and Full Throttle plastics (I needed a right ramp entry plastic) but he never got back to me and I lost his contact details. I hope you find what you need VM...
Quoted from Ferret:Perhaps Stefan Riedler at RS Pinball?
It seems I got confused with another pinsider - Stefan didn't get back to me about an alien playfield and I forgot about it (and wasn't sure I could afford it!)
The plastics guy was Tjohejsan, who had some FT plastics as well as a used alien playfield which I decided against.
Quoted from EalaDubhSidhe:I'm fairly sure I still have the plastics print file for the game for a sheet to be printed and cut.
I've never tried making a plastic but it would be cool to finally install a right ramp entry plastic and replace a couple of damaged ones. Getting parts is so difficult for these two (I also have an Alien!). I was lucky that Helmut found a flipper base plate for me when the old one sheared at the coil stop mount - my efforts at welding it back together were hopeless...
My biggest problem is the software glitches though, especially when it just ends the game when it feels like it. It gets played quite a bit at Medway Pinball but I can't use it in the tournaments which is a shame.
Quoted from Jackrabbt:I would be very interested in a set of printed plastics for Full Throttle and would be happy to help pay for a set. Do you think there would be a way, in small volume, to have 20 or 30 sets printed? Would it make sense financially?
Yes, perhaps Dave could advise on the possibility of producing plastic sets, and whether there are IP issues to be considered.
And if Brian was interested in a code update to fix the reset issue, that would be icing on the cake
