Is the alien head broken?

Quoted from Frax:

but does the damage to the "head" target actually do anything negative for the gameplay, or is it purely just a cosmetics issue?

We had one in our cabin in Gatlinburg when we were on vacation. The head was broken there also. The ball can go through the hole and inside the head when it's not supposed to. Normally the two halves open and then you get in the head. It was still fun though. We played it the whole time we were in the cabin.

You get a free lock when you're not supposed to?

If I recall that is exactly what happened. We were there in June of last year. Lots of IPA's since then.

You would know much more about the rules since you own it. The one we played was broken on the bottom left side, so lots of times the ball would go straight in instead of bouncing off of the head. I honestly don't remember what happened after that. It didn't stop us from playing it almost constantly while we were in the cabin though. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I was in Texas.
