#3 10 years ago

#4 10 years ago

Ok so $10,001 and ill sell something. Or what amount of money plus my modded pro?

If not GLWS.

#5 10 years ago

ebay.com link: itm

It's listed on eBay at $10,800, I'm guessing $300 of that is to cover eBay and PayPal fees, beautiful machine GLWS

#6 10 years ago

Don't do it! You have the matching Tron arcade game to the left of it. That combo rocks!

GLWS if you do but don't!!!

#7 10 years ago

Pix of the Tron LE packed on a pallet ready to be strapped and shipped.

#8 10 years ago

Love the way the lockdown bar looks red in the one pic. Nice reflection of the ceiling off the chrome! I have mine next to both tron arcade games. The trilogy. Glwts!

#9 10 years ago

Great opportunity for someone. As mentioned in the thread earlier, this game simply doesn't come up for sale much. GLWS

#10 10 years ago

As a clarification, that Tron arcade game actually belongs to someone else.

#11 10 years ago

Didn't you just sell one of these a few weeks ago?

Actually that one was many many months ago. This is a different Tron LE that I had traded a pin for + cash to get from a fellow Pinsider subsequent to that .
I have since decided to downsize my collection due to personal reasons.

#14 10 years ago

OK I have had lots of personal things going on lately that were more important than worrying about when the other Tron sold.Apparently for some reason you find it important to poop on my thread here. Congratulations. You can now be a junior detective.

#15 10 years ago

Why can't I magically win the lottery now even though I don't play? Just moved a couch out of my new office/game room to eventually be able to fit up to five pins in here. Permission granted to put my Mame cab in the living room with the Bad Cats as it's all black and decent looking.

Lol

#17 10 years ago

I'd love to keep this Tron Le.But I need to bank the money now.So I picked up a local Tron Pro and it will be fine.

#18 10 years ago

No pooping. Just not many of these out there, so I guess I just remember when the few that are come up for sale. Good luck with the sale!

#19 10 years ago

GLWS.

#20 10 years ago

Those mirrors on the side are super cool. I've never seen any that were that mirrory.

#21 10 years ago

Nice looking game. GLWTS.

#22 10 years ago

Ravens won today.All is good.

#23 10 years ago

Ok..so there are five or so guys looking at this right now, thinking, "Man, 10k? No way! But it's sooo shiny, and sooo awesome.." One of them will bite the bullet because he realises that after this he will be waiting a looong time before another comes up..and there will be four guys still looking for one, thinking damn sure that they're going to get one for 8k one day. And over the next six months or so (if you're lucky) before another one shows up another ten guys are going to join the queue..

#24 10 years ago

Glwts Stretch. Just got Metallica, Tron is next on the list. The LE really don't come up very often. Sure someone will be very happy.

The new movie coming up won't help this pin decrease in value.

#26 10 years ago

Stretch its funny you turned me down at 9600 when the game did not have the extra $600 + in mods.

Oh well

GLWS I'm sure it will sell over 10K

#27 10 years ago

Sale Pending. Thanks everybody for a cool thread.

#28 10 years ago

Not sure now about the pending sale.Best offer over $10k.

#29 10 years ago

That stinks! Probably is the biggest reason I just hoard my pins. I hate dealing with all the flakes. Hope you get another buyer.

#30 10 years ago

The 2nd movie if anything should decrease values... I thought that they were actually re-releasing them.....no? If so not sure if they would do another batch of LE's or just Pro's... Sometimes I just don't understand Stern's thinking on production runs and re-runs. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future they do more "premium runs". Seems like they are just leaving money out on the table if the demand is there. What does Stern care about the "secondary market". zip... I have heard that they are planning on doing a re-run of Avatar, but every now and again someone mentions that they are available new still. (which may be the case from some vendors) Still... if Trons are all sold out except for people that bought up and stock piled them or people asking too much for them why wouldn't Stern be interested in a re-run.. I don't buy for a second that it would be any harder to extend a license to an extra XX amount of machines. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but no pin is worth 10k to me.. not even an Indiana Jones with a 24k 1/4 scale ark topper or a Tron with a working pocket bike light cycle replica. Same thing could be said for Ironman... definitely enough demand if they started them on the assembly line again. Heh.. I like a lot of others here have just enough $$ to have a modest collection of 2 and would rather have 2 good pro's or pre- prem/LE titles. Sorry for the long wind there, but has anyone else heard if they are re-running them?

#31 10 years ago

Beautiful game. Absolute pinball porn. GLWS

#32 10 years ago

i paid 9500 with no mods. Good price! GLWS

#33 10 years ago

.

Quoted from bub2010:

Yep heard that rumor. They are re-running all the top ten pins, and even throwing in avatar. My source is very good. A distant friend of my ex girlfriends sister's boyfriends' ex girlfriend's dad, who knows someone who knows a movie extra, who once owned a pinball machine......

Seriously.

#34 10 years ago

If Stern starts re-running games like TRON LE this its a sure sign they are reaching down to the bottom of the barrel to make money without putting out money for new game development. They have never resorted to devaluing low number games with such a long time lapse after introduction before.
They tried to jump the shark and missed with their pricing on STLE. They just do not seem to understand that they finally have real competition. Either answer the competition with better quality games, lower your prices to provide good games for less money, or sell the company to someone who can make it work.
The consumer market is where the money is at right now. But how their organization thought that "The Pin" was the answer to bringing in the money is beyond me. And then to advertise that they are "the only manufacturer of real pinball games" after that debacle?
What a shame. They have the talent and experience to make money and help the hobby progress. But somewhere within their organization there is a failure to communicate with the customers who actually buy their games and identify what their likes and dislikes are. Maybe its because they rely on facebook for that information. Whatever plan they are using is not working.
Time to go back to the drawing board Gary. Otherwise you will end up being eaten by the competition.

Stern will never re-run Tron LE. LE stands for LIMITED EDITION. Each one has a plaque that states #xxx of 400. You'll never see Tron LE #401 of 400

#36 10 years ago

yea, the next one just won't have the plaque. The plaque is the LE part of it.

#37 10 years ago

Dang it.....all I can afford is $9,999.99. Wish we could have made the deal happen. Oh well..

#38 10 years ago

TRON-PEE, Premium Extra Edition. I can see them totally rerunning them. I mean everyone I guess thinks they are worth close to 10K, so Tron-PEE 8K NIB, Sterns not stupid

#39 10 years ago

They would never sell an LE again if they reran.

#40 10 years ago
Quoted from Saveleaningtower:

Yes they would. People have given a pass to the Premium versions. Why not a second LE run with a few differences? Call it the "Heritage Edition" or something.

Agree to disagree. We shall see. But I'm pretty sure Gary himself said never on this one.

If they were going to do a Premium they would have done it already when they did the multiple re-runs of Pros. If they just wanted money they would have ran more Black Spider-Man...that game DIDN'T have an individually numbered plaque...they could have "gotten away with it". There will never be more than 400 Tron LEs. Done deal.

Not to hijack this thread.. BUT what is the love for this game... I've only played a few times, but the mid lower pf is basically blank.. alot of photoshopped faces, cheap plastic ramps... Tron theme?
I guess the 3D backglass on the LE..

AFM whole playfield is blank, yet it is the funnest game of all time.

#47 10 years ago

So...in the history of pinball no company has had a re-release of a table? I mean i know tron had like 3 runs, but that was while they were still being built....not 5 years later or something. (yes i know those were pros) And yea....technically there won't be a 401th original LE, but why not a "tron legacy escape" or "recognizer edition" or "light cycle edition" Or insert name here which is basically the LE with a new name or maybe different art or a new toy, but otherwise the same game. I mean isn't that basically what stern did with the ACDC premiums? Honestly stern is really missing out.... And if they re-ran say 5 of their most in demand tables.....they'd sure sell a bunch. Don't you think someone could make a KILLING if they were to all of the sudden start making like 1,000 or so Big Bang Bars?

Tron LE came out before they did Premiums. They now announce all 3 versions (or 2 in the case of X-Men) from the start so there are no surprises or pissed off customers. They won't do another Tron LE-esque version...it's done. They want to sell the new games they've spent money on developing/marketing.

What lower playfield area of any DMD era game isn't "blank"? You need room for the ball to move around. Features, ramps and toys are almost always higher up. Here is why people love this game: It's FUN...SUPER FUN! It transcends the license (I don't even like the Tron movies). Crank up the volume and it's just an intense experience and there's nothing else like it. 3D backglass has nothing to do with it. Most Pros had it, too. Tron LE has color changing fiber optic ramp lights that are choreographed with modes/shots/sounds/music. Looks killer. LE also has other goodies the Pro doesn't have & an extra Multiball mode. So - it's super fun, and the LE has extra cool stuff & is rare to boot.

Back to your sale, Stretch!

The reason they never re-ran BSM is because artwork is the only difference between them, Tron has the light ramps drop targets etc.. With AC/DC you can still buy premiums NIB. and the only difference on the BIBLE and LTBR is the art. I would never buy a Pro of any model that stern makes because I would always miss the features of the premium/LE. So why not re-run the PEE model and put different trim and no plague. You guys really have a lot of faith in stern that they will not do this. Anyways I really have no horse in this race because like someone mentioned earlier I have never liked tron and if they made a re-run they would think it was worth 8,000.
