Game - for sale

FS/FT: El Dorado (Gottlieb, 1975)

Added: 2016-01-13 22:53:05 UTC • Ended: June 8th, 2017
Condition: Used - shows wear but 100% working and clean

Price

$ 1,400

Note: This game was sold.

------------------

I'm looking to trade or sell my El Dorado.

Pictures coming shortly. Playfield is pretty nice with no real wear. Backglass has some flaking in the reds but is otherwise decent (repros are available.) Cabinet is solid, just has typical nicks and scuffs.

I would consider trading towards a 70s wedgehead, 80s Bally, or a DMD game, plus or minus cash as appropriate. Open to many different uptions, but here are some games that come to mind:
Abra Ca Dabra
Atlantis
Volley
Skyjump
Flash Gordon
Viking
Frontier
Medusa
Vector
Road Show
Terminator 2
Doctor Who
Demo Man
...pretty much any other Sega or B/W DMD game

I also have a Fireball 2 for sale or trade; I'd be happy to do a two-for-one for the right title!

Mistake!

#3 8 years ago

You mean that selling is a mistake?

It's possible I'll regret letting it go; I think it's one of the best couple wedgeheads, but I've had a lot of fun with it, and it may be time for a change.

Yep. I get it. El Dorado is the best pre-DMD game I've ever played, though. And it's my absolute favorite for introducing people to pinball. Someone who had never seen or heard of pinball would understand the goal in about one minute, and could then easily spend hours trying to accomplish it.

I hear ya, and I totally agree with your assessment. For me, Eight Ball Deluxe is the perfect pre-DMD game, for many of the same reasons.

I have two of it's brothers set up right now. GWTS!

Yes, there's plenty in your collection I would sell first.

I'm debating hanging on this one. I spent some time playing this week, and am enjoying it more...

#10 8 years ago

That makes my decision to buy it much easier.

I've looked at this machine twice a day since you posted the ad. I think i'm in love

Still available. Cash deal preferred over trades now

I'm back to thinking I'd like to sell it outright. Let me know if you are interested!

I'd trade this and Fireball 2 for a nice Demo Man, Road Show, or Corvette as a two-for-one!

#13 8 years ago

I would have picked this up already but having to let go of one of my own this week (MC) because I have 2 new ones on the way and no room. This game is on my radar screen and a must own before I die! I'm enjoying it on my I-Phone for now
