I have two pinballs that I am looking to trade for one pinball. My preference would be Taxi, Cyclone, Diner, or Whirlwind, but I am open to any System 11 / WPC title. I would also entertain a cash offer for both but not sure what price to set. I will attempt to post enough pictures and provide enough information to let you decide. Please feel free to offer advice in terms of value, as I have no clue (other then what I have invested into them).
Pinbot ($1,100)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Good:
-100% playable, no switch issues & no glitches
-Plastics are 99% including unbroken upper left sling plastic and the top of the vortex
-Freshly installed plastic protectors
-XPin displays just installed
-LED's in backbox and a few LED's scattered in top right of playfield
-Light grid looks great, no overlays that I can see, and little to no mylar bubbling or insert lifting (not an expert)
-On board battery holder was removed and replaced with off board one
-Shooter rod/spring/clip brand new
-New flipper buttons
- New super bands installed
The Bad:
-Light topper was shattered and glued back together, pieces missing
-There is no glass with the translight, just the plastic sheet (I don't notice it when installed)
-Some playfield wear under mylar (this may be good as it implies mylar was not from factory, see photos)
-Planking and crazing throughout playfield, but not enough to impact game play (see photos)
-While cabinet side or "OK", the front and parts of the backbox are pretty beat up
Comet ($750)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Good:
-Compared to other Comet playfields I've seen, this one looks pretty good (only two major wear spots, easy touch up)
-Displays are working like a champ
-Plastics appear to be whole, with the exception being the Hit the Dummy plastic that sits under center ramp
-Center ramp is unbroken but has some cracking near the bottom right entrance, good enough to keep IMHO
-Flipper's just rebuilt, including coils and bats, installed super bands
-Very playable, but does have two switches complaining during diagnostics
-Backglass looks decent, only some wear top right (when viewing backside)
The Bad:
-The cabinet needs to be completely sanded and repainted (but seem structurally sound)
-Backbox has damage (see particle board backing is cracked near air vents)
-Front face of cabinet is starting to delaminate
-Planking and crazing, but nothing that affects game play (see photos)
-Cracked/broken corkscrew that was tapped together (sigh)
-Cycle jump is broken in the normal places
-Needs new decals for shooting galleries, dummy, and shoot a million
-Sound is overheating after 10 mins and cutting out
-Really horrible legs
-Inside of cabinet still needs a good cleaning
