I have decided I would rather do some other things with my money.

Am offering my Wizard of Oz Limited Edition machine. I do not have it yet, I purchased directly from Jack (Pinball Sales) and was told last week I should be seeing the game in November.

Does not include shipping from Jersey to you. You will have to pay that when game is ready.

The game will be Limited Edition #476

$8250

Location is not relevant since the game has not been made yet.

Jack said these go for 12k so this is a bargain. Good luck with the sale.

What's the differences between an LE and a normal version please?

Quoted from The_ox100:

Invisiglass, shaker motor, wooden apron, certificate, green powder coated hardware and habittrails, and different topper.

#19 9 years ago

Your money.

Best of luck with your sale.

#20 9 years ago

This isn't a woz for sale. It's a woz preorder slot for sale. The two are different things. The title of the thread is extremely misleading.

I thought his post was very clear. He states he doesn't have it yet, expected delivery is November, and buyer pays shipping. Where is the confusion?

Dude, you're ruining another perfectly good WOZ thread derailment! Get with the program and make some offhanded incendiary statements.

He didn't say body was confusing, he said title. Which, technically a WOZ isn't for sale, it's a preorder slot for sale. Just buying a slot in line.

No, not really. He is selling the game, and when it is built it will be shipped to the buyer. "Selling a slot in line" means he would be selling his order date (at some price) to get earlier delivery, and the buyer would still have to pay for the machine separately. He is selling 100% interest in the machine to be delivered, not just a "spot in line."

The analogy would be waiting in line to buy tickets to a show. Here, the actual tickets are being sold for the asking price, and they can be picked up when they are available at the ticket booth. "Selling your place in line" would be allowing somebody to take your place near the front of the line, where they may get tickets that are better r get them sooner, but still have to pay for the tickets when available.

I get what you are saying, but by paying 8k plus right now I get to take his place in line for the Woz ride, right? I don't get a game shipped, so I am not buying a game at this moment.

Anyways, it is only November out so not too long and should get this bad boy sold since it is an LE! Take luck seller!

Pinside features a plethora of poorly titled threads. This thread is not one of those - GLWTS!

That is even more confusing actually. You are not buying a place in line--that would mean you were paying to get ahead, but still need to buy the product. You are pre-ordering a machine, which is buying it for all intents. If I go order a Corvette with my choice of options, and it takes 6 weeks to get sent to me, I still bought a Corvette.

#32 9 years ago

You are buying a fully paid for WOZLE but it just hasn't shipped yet. I did the same thing a while back when I bought someone's LE spot. The seller, myself and Jen from JJP exchanged some emails to say how ownership of the machine would be transferred. Once my check cleared with the seller JJP transferred the pin to my name (it already said paid in full) and sent me a copy of the invoice.

#33 9 years ago

You guys are seriously debating this? . I guess it helps bump his post.

#34 9 years ago

It's all pinball.

So funny how people on woz threads just don't feel right unless they bitch about something.

Quoted from MTPPC:

I'm getting pretty tired of everyone saying there is no risk to buying a prepaid purchase agreement. I'm sure JJP is doing fine, but with some of the latest shenanigans with selling machines to new money it is cause for concern when purchasing future production.

Congrats go to those who scored their machines at a discount to current price, but pretending there is no risk is truly pretending. There is risk and it's not being a drama queen to point that out.

Man I hate to rain on this but I was being told November for an order date that was almost a year earlier(07/2011)

#48 9 years ago

The invoice date is likely when he paid it off. There were no WOZLEs still available to order in May 2012 were there?

As I recall they were available through Jack directly till the end of summer 2012. My memory may be off slightly.

And I was told October for an order placed 05/2011, so it would appear that some rain must fall on the sellers parade. Sorry....
