Very nice Judge Dredd for sale. It has been in a home for a long time. Recently shopped, everything works great. The playfield is very nice with no touch ups. The cabinet has been touched up by a professional artist. This game is one of the cleanest, nicest Judge Dredd's I've seen in a long time. Asking $3200 with a local warranty.

What was done to that topper? Is that a reproduction of some type or is it just the base topper "upgraded"? Looks sweet!

#3 11 years ago

I just got that same topper from Gene at the Ohio show it looks awesome.

#4 11 years ago

Yes, my topper is from Gene, the original was missing. It's not like the original but I like the shiny look.

#5 11 years ago

That topper looks great! (so does the game)

#6 11 years ago

Good luck with the sale - any LEDs, any mods?

#7 11 years ago

Looks like a nice example. Out of curiosity, what exactly does "local warranty" mean?

#8 11 years ago

Forget how well the machine plays, it's all about the topper! wow

#9 11 years ago

That's a nice looking JD!!

#10 11 years ago

I better go check my shorts.

#11 11 years ago

Local warranty means I'll fix it in your home if you have any problems during the first 90 days for free. I have been doing in-home service full time since 1978.

#12 11 years ago

It's not a $1400 machine any more.

Good luck with your sale.

#13 11 years ago

Might be nice to get some more details about the machine for that price.

#14 11 years ago

Damn roger beat me by 2 minutes...yep.

1600 for game 1600 for overly shiny topper?

#16 11 years ago

That topper is kick ass it looks awesome in person.

#17 11 years ago

Pinball Phil,

How about some cabinet pics? You peaked my interest, did the artist make stencils or what?

No, not in this condition. Compared to what else is out there, this is still a deal.

You're right. It's a $600 a game:

Hard to find, if not impossible, part!

Yeah, I know. When I owned JD...my planet dome wouldnt stay. Had to use tape to secure it because I couldnt find a new one.

#27 11 years ago

For $600 I'll fabricate something to fit the bill.

SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll ruin the sale! You're not supposed to question pricing or use contradictory examples! Why are you trying to ruin things for the seller?!?!?

Please edit your post before the pinside ministers of information see what you've done.

With the nuclear power plant plastics. I wonder if the nuclear tower caps on TSPP would fit in there. Would look better than those plastic ones. I never owned a JD so really havn't studied it for mods.

The ones I took apart had a dab of clear silicone holding them together. I did like you, small pieces of packing tape did the trick.

Such a perfect example of "reasonable" price vs "Pinside" price.

Although what constitutes a "deal" is in the eye of the holder, 99 out of 100 eyes would not consider this a deal. That makes it, "not a deal."

#35 11 years ago

Deal or no deal, lol, here is a link to some pics of this very nice machine.
Thanks, Phil

With all due respect, saying it's a $600 game is just not accurate. That's one rare exception that went for 40% of the average selling price. Ebay is the land of freak price exceptions.

Quoted from NPO:

I wouldn't consider 40% of the average selling price to be "reasonable."
How about when you sell your TFTC, you sell it to me for $800? By the logic you've applied here, that's reasonable.

#37 11 years ago

Taking into account that this isn't missing any parts, and has a fully-working Dead World (I presume), obviously it's worth a fair bit more than the average price.

And free bump for a beautiful Dredd! Excellent example of how this game should look.

#38 11 years ago

True that one sale doesnt constitute an average but, it does show that there are deals to be had for the quick and the patient. Unfortunenatly, Im neither quick or patient.

The market will decide if the OP price is too high. If it sells, then no. If not, then he will have to lower the ask.

Looking closely at the Deadworld ball ring it would appear that this JD does not have the Deadworld mod -- instead of holes to hold the captured balls it has the notches/slots which do not hold the balls captive.

Not a huge deal, but I also noticed that the printed Deadworld ring is installed upside down. The Deadworld printing on it is backwards.

Overall a nice Dredd. GLWS

I agree that the cabinet is nice and overall a very nice machine (though I don't see anything like LEDs, mods, new boards, etc) - I hope he gets what he's asking but don't know really that he will. But if he does then great because mine may fetch a pretty penny in the future.
