I typically try to stay off the Shazaam bandwagon but, yes applicable here.

West Coast & Canada...brutal. For 5K I'd rather pay Mantracker to hunt this thing down and arrest it.

Yep. Prices up here, especially Western Canada, suck for buying anything locally, mainly because buying from the States isn't much better. If you can find a "normal" priced machine in the US, and the guy is willing to ship, you can then add on several hundred for shipping, exchange, taxes and customs all of which tends to jack up resale of locals.

Is this HUO?

lol...it's like preparing for the post apocalypse here. I've started to buy in multiples, and hide them in the bomb shelter.

I paid $3800 for my HUO TSPP. Am I glad the prices of HUO TSPP have gone up? Yes, but I really hope the buyer who wants one should get it now.

What is shazam?

#16 11 years ago

Shazaam means unbelievable high or unrealistically high price. Basically what pinball machines seem to have been selling for lately. I think Shazaam originally goes back to old "Gomer Pyle" tv episodes where Gomer would say Shazaam every time he heard something new or unbelievable. Using this word is a very recent addition to our group.

And an idiotic one at that.

Bunch of babies that wouldn't hesitate to sell their game at the same price the original poster is asking if they had one. I don't like current prices either but the incessant whining is basic RGP and what was supposed to be different about this site.

Whatever

It's a discussion board

Discuss!

We as collectors should be able to talk about the prices of what we buy. We should be able to speak of a games pros & cons. Its ok to state who is a good or bad person to do business with.

When did it become cheaper to buy HUO & NIB from retailers vs fellow collectors?

I will tell you when. When it became heresy to speak of price, condition, gameplay or the seller/buyer integrity.
