Quoted from RobT:basically inferring that anyone who paid $11k is a sucker.
The price of every pin in existence is a moving target, right? Whether or not 11K is a good deal depends entirely on the timing. All you can do is pay fair market value for your pins and sell when it makes sense for you to sell. I expect to take a haircut on every pin I own except for the golden four. The golden four are my estate's problem.
Quoted from TigerLaw:An even better example is AFM. There was a suspiciously shill looking eBay auction result that allegedly sent the title into outer space value wise for the next couple years..
AFM is a superlative pin. I think it's reasonable for the top 5% of titles to trade at a pretty stiff premium. An AFM in good shape could be had for ~7K for the past several years. I'd expect that number to drop once PPS announces the AFMr, but it's still a kick-ass pin no matter how you slice it. Has AFM gone crazy since then and I just didn't notice?
