$11,000 USD for Tron LE #281. I will accept bank wire payments, personal check and/or cash.

I will consider international buyers, but the only form of acceptable payment is bank wire.

Cash and carry is definitely an option.

Personal Checks will require validation with your bank that the check has cleared before I will allow the game to ship. I am willing and able to prep the game for shipping at cost.

All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

This game was purchased by me and been in my private collection since July 22, 2011.

I realize that my price is high and I know others have sold for less. If you feel my game is overpriced, then I will not attempt to change your mind. My game may not sell for this price, and I am okay with that possibility.

I have added the following:

Tron Recognizer Mod from Kimball's Pinball.
Tron Video Game Mode 2.1
Tron Light Cycle Mod (not yet installed)
XPin Blue DMD -- Note this is not a perfect sample. It has two pixels that are out of place on the bottom left corner. It typically affects the middle countdown bar.
Blue DMD Filter (not yet installed)

I am tearing down the game this weekend and I will be cleaning the playfield, replacing all rubbers and cleaning the ramps. I will also install the Tron Light Cycle Mod and the Blue DMD Filter.

I will gladly provide hi-res pictures upon request.

If you have any questions, please contact me via pm.

Thanks.

Marcus

Nice to know that's an option.

quick 20 minute job, this is the easiest pinball machine to strip to the pf and reassemble imo.

great looking le!!! good luck with your sale, i'm sure someone will want a nice christmas present.

#4 11 years ago

this should be interesting!

I challenge that statement with IM...there is almost nothing on that PF.

common...you KNOW you have to pull off the backboard (8 wood screws)..just to get that ramp off. maybe not, i just always thought it was strange they designed the ramp to go through it.

i'd agree with you though, maybe the reason that game plays so fast...and the war machine kick back.

I agree

Now I am sad I did not buy yours Steve, missed a deal I guess. Good luck on your sale but out of my comfort zone.

A fool and their money are soon parted

#10 11 years ago

Well at least it has some incorrect pixels.

Yes, that is true...it is a strange design.

#12 11 years ago

Please install white rubber.

#13 11 years ago

It looks like there could be a time that you will need to bring a briefcase full of Benjamin's in order to do a cash and carry on some titles. Your just not going to get enough in a roll or envelope to cover it anymore.

If someone offered me $11k for my Tron LE........

......I wouldn't take it.

Crazy talk. Take the 11k, buy a regular Tron for $4500ish and add the EL wire (un)limited mod that is sure to be available soon. Take the $6500 and get a NIB machine or several older titles, or a cherry A game. Sometimes you can't give a fool money.

Me either. My 'foolish' money and my Tron LE are staying put. Just feels better knowing my Tron LE and I are just livin' the dream.

Call me crazy, call me a fool, I don't care. Tron LE isn't going anywhere.

Hmm. It's good to know that I'm not the only crazy fool livin' the Tron LE dream.

#23 11 years ago

Same here, Tron LE is here to stay!

You already sold one. You don't count.

#25 11 years ago
Quoted from Frax:

You already sold one. You don't count.

I had sold mine previously as well.

At least we have learned from our egregious mistakes!

#26 11 years ago

Gotta say I'm extremely happy with my Pro... even if I could sell it for a profit right now, I wouldn't. Barring any kind of "you must sell this game or go homeless" type of catastrophe, it's staying.. even in front of Space Shuttle.

#27 11 years ago

I framed my TRON LE certificate today... cheezy, but I don't give a F***!

#28 11 years ago

Probably wouldn't sell mine either. Funny I used to hate it but then I figured the rules out and now I play it more than any other pin I have.

#29 11 years ago

I did sell mine and at the discount price of 9k with lots of mods and cliffys. NAVL will get soon, going to California. Everyone is happy, is a great game, to me I just like some others better for me I will get my Tron fix with the pro. I oddly miss the recognizer moving and lighting effect most. Honestly didnt notice the drop vs standups but my shaker motor still isnt like the LE even after changing. I have some new ones coming in gonna switch out and see if there is a difference.

#30 11 years ago

I sold one for $9K and missed it terribly. Bought one that had only been opened from the box for 2 months for $8K, and spent well over the $1K profit in mods. Live and learn. It's my favorite machine to date, and it isn't going anywhere again. And because it is my favorite machine, I want the best version, which is the LE - and not only for the lighted ramps.

Feel free to add me to the 'crazy fool livin' the dream' team!

#32 11 years ago

I felt bad the first two days but now that its moved away from the other and no longer side by side the pain doesnt feel as bad. I really felt like I made a mistake at first but 9k is still laot of money. I hink I feel worse if that guy comes back with 9500 and ACDCBIBLE leaves and I cant get a Premium until Feb 2013

#33 11 years ago

I wouldn't sell any pin for any amount of money if I loved the pin! Glad you guys like Tron, I just couldn't get into it when I played the pro at Pinballz in Austin..

Heck, I wouldn't take 20k for my BHZA future pin....

#34 11 years ago

Obviously there is some sort of Tron Le cult happening, only reason I can fathom for sane people paying crazy prices for a very average game Just my opinion of course!

#35 11 years ago
Quoted from RobT:

Hmm. It's good to know that I'm not the only crazy fool livin' the TRON LE dream.

Add me to the list! I don't even think I'd trade it for a BBB....and I'd really love a BBB!!!

...and I'll vouch for Xerico - he's a stand-up dude and in fact is responsible for my Tron LE purchase! He pointed me toward his friend that was selling it.

#36 11 years ago

Can you still get a NIB Tron Pro from a distributor anymore?

#37 11 years ago

.

Gap had a new pro modded for sale for $7k. 11k for a LE is about right.

Quoted from RobT:

Same here. My Tron LE is forever out of commerce. I would really like a mint MM, but wouldn't trade my Tron LE for that either.

#40 11 years ago

Buyer at 11k will be happy I'm sure. Price is reflective of the magic this pin produces. Not sure how else to describe it. Played the Pro at Joes Playland, my LE hadn't arrived yet( 1st delivery pin was destroyed by shipper), so while playing the Pro I was concerned I may have made a mistake. When I spanked my Newborn's ass the first time in my gameroom I knew it was love.

Mine is here to stay too.

Me neither #7.

EDIT: #7 as in the 7th LE owner who wouldn't take 11K (I have #66).

#45 11 years ago

Me too. My opinion it is the best pinball I've ever owned. #289 isn't going anywhere.

#46 11 years ago

My Tron LE is here to stay also.

I sneezed once in front of GAP and he charged me $5 a single tissue of Kleenex. His prices don't compare to the market. Sorry, next.

Just playin Mike, Merry XMas!

I have $9500 if you decide you want to take offers.

Pictures of the XPin Blue DMD imperfection.

Focus on the middle timer bar.
