Just about every single DE Simpsons I have ever seen, has similar PF wear around the flippers and beneath them in the drain lanes where the flipper doesn't even touch.
It was just something with the way all The Simpsons PF's were made
Have you noticed all the clear coat that was flaking off cars around 1990? We bought a brand new Buick Park Avenue in 1990. Gloss black with grey leather interior. Within 5 years the paint had all worn or peeled off and we kept it in our garage most of the time. GM repainted part of it under warranty but I expected better out of a major investment like a new car.
DE must have used the same crappy formula paint in 1990.

I am adding the NOS playfield and selling this as a package. Also the original DE manual is included. Price with the extra NOS playfield is $1600.
Replaced burned out bulbs and fixed a few problems since I first posted this. Now working 100%.
Played quite a few games on it lately and it's actually not a bad game for pre-DMD Data East.

I think it's really a fun game. Spinner shot is really satisfying, and getting 3 ball multiball is quite challengng!
