It does appear to be an Addams Gold playfield vs. a standard. It has the barcode on the lower left of the playfield and the colors are slightly different.- namely the greens are brighter. Really not sure if it makes it more/less valuable but thought it was worth noting.

Good luck with the sale. It's a beautiful playfield!

I'm not sure if it would be a gold playfield,

I looked at the carpet "stars" compared to my gold and they look more pronounced on my playfield,
Plus my oranges and reds look a little different,
Didn't compare the green,

Plus with a Dec 1995 Stamp wouldn't that make it a WMS spare part rather than a game specific playfield?

The no diamond plate logo would be correct if it was made in 1995 but All TAFG's were made in April and May 1994

Either way its still an original playfield and quite rare

Thanks guys. Regardless of what it is, my expectations for a TRADE will not change.

I stand corrected. The differences (color shades, barcode, missing diamond plate logo) are probably just due to being made several years (1995) after the original playfields were done.

It does mention they switched manufacturers when they made the gold playfields?
It would stand to reason they would have made any playfields after 1994?

I'm obviously not positive of this, just from what I've read,

Again not to de-rail the OP's thread

GL with the sale/trade!

Here is the date stamp.

The opening paragraph, if accurate, explains that:

"The 1994 playfields were all clear coated (Diamond Plate) but clear coating was common place in 1994 so the ‘Diamond Plate’ logo is not on the 1994 and newer playfields."

http://www.hsapinball.com/HSA_PINBALL/hsa147.html

The NOS Playfield I just bought a few months ago does not have the Diamond Plate logo on it like my original one does. The NOS I purchased is on the left while the IPB 2nd Gen I purchased last year is on the right.

They're probably facilitating the rerun of pf for pps. I'm talking out of my azz right now.

Stern is sending it to Australia in a container of pins.

Clear ramp still for sale

#71 4 years ago

So did someone in Australia buy the playfield and you're just including it with their shipment?

Also is the container they're sending just all new Sterns?

Very strange situation, but intriguing!

I sold it to an Australian. He worked out something with the Stern distributor in Australia (and apparently someone at Stern) to toss this playfield in their next container of new Stern pins. I did check in with they guy awhile ago and he did receive the playfield and all is well.

Crazy how things work out sometimes. I'm sure that probably saved him a lot of headache and money to ship it that way, too.

Glad to hear it all came together!
