Have an extra F14 TOMCAT project for sale.

The good: Early version. Says ''proto roms'' on the cpu, it has clear flashers on the back panel, extra flashers at the top section of the playfield. It works great! CPU is clean. I played it out, all switches, locks, etc work as they should. The topper beacons and assemblies are there! Comes with new plastics protectors, it does have the correct half ribbed system 11 legs, they could use a cleaning

The bad: It needs new displays, it has none. It needs a translight, it does not have one. It needs speakers for the speaker panel. The speaker panel and front cover plastic is there that you mount the displays to, it's just missing the two speakers (the one in the bottom of the cabinet is there and works!) needs the beacon/s motor only and lastly, the cabinet decals are hurt bad. They are really scraped and checking. It needs a remote battery holder, easy stuff overall.

This was NOT a flood game, she is a dry bird. The playfield looks pretty decent overall, pretty typical inserts for F14, factory mylar still down. I was tempted to piece this one together over the winter, and I think the cabinet could touch up by hand, but I already have a couple project i'm working on as well as an F14 already.

$500

Nice price, wish you were closer. Are you coming to Michigan anytime soon?

#5 10 years ago

I can bring to Allentown with full payment in advance if someone doesn't mind waiting

#6 10 years ago

Great game! Great price! Just finished restoring mine and I love it! GLWS

If someone buys this game I have a used translite that I could sell.

#8 10 years ago

Not trying to hijack this thread because I do not care if I sell the translite or not. If someone wants to buy this machine at least they know there is one part that they will not have to hunt down.

What, do you need more games to sell to Hugsc?

#10 10 years ago

Want to offer my apologies, it appears I accidentally thumbed down this thread. I use my touch screen phone frequently to cruise Pinside and when I scroll through threads I use my right thumb on the screen which must have accidentally and inadvertently thumbed down this post.

Playfield looks to be in nice shape, and would be a great restore candidate. I love my F-14 Tomcat. Free bump and good luck with the sale shacklers.

Actually I would pick it up as a project and work on it..

#14 10 years ago

If anyone is coming to phila, I'll take it. Damn! Glws

#16 10 years ago

$500 is a steal. I'd buy it at that price if it were within 100 miles Or even 200 miles

#18 10 years ago

WOW, bump for a great deal!

#19 10 years ago

How is this not sold? Free bump...

Because he's not in CA. Otherwise, *I* would have bought it already!

#21 10 years ago

Not sure, I sent a pm a few days ago and haven't got a response back yet. I guess hes super busy, or it sold already?

No you wouldn't have. I'd have it at my place first!
Why don't deals like this ever come up in CA....

PM'S responded to (i think all of you?)

It is still available currently, but I doubt for much longer. First come first serve for this, first with cash gets it (paypal okay too)
I can hold this game for however long you need-if paid for in advance.

Where are the $500 tomcats when i wanted one soooo bad? ...lol.
Only reason I'm parting with this one is because I don't need two (though the soundtrack is so great in F14, it might just make a great jukebox

Winter sucks. F14 is awesome. This is the perfect winter killer/project. Fly me home!!

#26 10 years ago

Their should be reproduction playfields available in February 2014. (Think that's when CPR is going to do them)

THis is a great price on a good game. I'd get it if I was local. Sold my f-14 a couple months ago fully restored for $1900. Theirs lots of parts available. No really reason to not fix it up.

Best of luck on the sale.

What a great deal! Someone buy this before I have to battle with the wife over it

Because there's obviously more demand in CA!

Agreed...

bump....

Hate to part a working pin out, but perhaps that's the direction this one needs to go. The beacons, fully working board set, and a plug and play (basically) playfield have to be worth more than $500. ...then the transformer, coin door, etc...

Or maybe I should just put it back together? Sigh...do I really need two F14....

#31 10 years ago

If it wasn't a 27 hour drive (one way) for me, I would be all over this. Curse you isolated Canadian hometown city, cuuuuuuurse youuuuuuuuu!

Also if shipping a pin wasn't so dang sketchy and expensive...

#32 10 years ago

I don't get it. How is this not sold yet? I already have an F-14, but I'd still pick this up at this price just to restore it. Dont part it out! Dont give up either. Somebody's got to grab this... The humanity!!!

Mike

#33 10 years ago

If you do part it out, I could use one or 2 plastics.

It a thing called the economy. It even effects pin buying, despite what some on here think. Ed

I have a good condition and playing great Demolition Man. Take both for $2300!

Demolition Man- Nice board set, nice dmd, playfield looks great, clean, plays great. Some scuffs to the head. One ''freeze'' insert decal is worn, the other three freeze decals are great, as well as the rest of the playfield (no other wear)

Anyone that wants pictures, pm me.

Thanks, James

#37 10 years ago

I also have a players Phantom of the Opera that works and plays 100%, if anyone buys the above, I can throw that in too for a steal of a deal-

#38 10 years ago

How much for just the Phantom? Would you possibly be interested in a D&D machine in an un-original cabinet?

#39 10 years ago

Wow! Shacklers offering a great deal~SpOoKy

#40 10 years ago

i'll go $900 on Phantom. I can hold for however long someone needs as well, as long as it's pre-paid. Not interested in trades right now.
Thanks, James

#42 10 years ago

Would you consider shipping these?
