    FS: Proc w/ whitestar/sam mounting plate

    Added: 2020-10-13 21:51:24 UTC • Ended: November 25th, 2020
    Condition: Used, good condition

    Price

    $ 350

    Selling a proc with cable mounted on a whitestar / sam mounting plate. I purchased this November of 2019 for a project I was doing with a local college. I worked with a group of students to teach software processes and planning during development. I used my tron machine and they came up with a new theme, rules, and coded those rules for the game. Once the school year was over, I took my game home and installed the original cpu.

    The proc is like new, has very low hours of usage on it. The students only tested / played their game maybe an hour or two a week. Condition wise, it's perfect and just like when I bought it. Includes the two ribbon cables and USB cable.

    Asking $350 shipped, which is a bit of savings if you're looking to buy a new proc for a project. I don't have anything lined up now, or in the near future, so just trying to recoup a bit of coats.

    So I'm REALLY unfamiliar with this sorta thing, but this can be used to update the code for Cactus Canyon for instance?

    Sorta? Kinda?

    I've never setup a Cactus Canyon Continued, but I'm familiar with it. The proc board would be needed, yes. The mounting plate is different, though. I have mine on a whitestar/sam, to work with tron. Cactus canyon is wpc, so it'd "need" to be on that plate. You don't "have" to have it on one, just makes it easier.

    The proc would replace the stock cpu, then you'd need a pc running the CCC code. I know nothing about how that setup works, or what is needed. But, the proc is one, of a couple, pieces needed to run CCC.

    Gotcha. Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into it further to see what all else is involved. GLWTS.
