I have a players condition Gottlieb Gladiators for sale near Madison. The game plays just about perfect, has one bad opto and perhaps a few minor issues. The game is (obviously) unrestored.

Pros:
- 90's multiball DMD
- Shaker motor that feels like a machine gun
- Great sounds and voice
- Game is built like a tank
- Boards all look good with no visible repairs
- Translite looks nice
- Cabinet is decent (some previous touchup/scratches)
- Playfield is nice (within the mylar areas)
- Original instruction manual/schematics/operation booklets included

Cons:
- Players game
- Unrestored
- Some parts of playfield (outside mylar) have wear, especially by the pop bumpers
- DMD is not perfect but presentable
- Game shows US voltage but appears to be a reimport from Japan
- Game took a tumble on my dolly but suffered only minor injuries
- Game is heavy (see above)

Please let me know if you have any questions, need other pics, or would like to see the game in person.

Thanks!

I love gottlieb system 3's. I'd love to have this one. But I'm too far away and broke.

#7 10 years ago

If I had the room i'd snag this. I like this game.

You would be a good fit, knowing how well you work on playfields.

#9 10 years ago

I like this game, too. The factory shaker motor adds a nice touch.

#10 10 years ago

The shaker is really strong and will cause pictures to fall off the wall.

It's a really fun game with a lot of creative shots. The two additional flippers are well utilized and the sounds are well integrated.

The wizard mode is fun to get to.....

Selling a System 3 out of your collection? And I thought we were friends....

Have no fear dealing with Todd, he is the real deal.

Sorry buddy, they can't all be as good as Rescue 911....

#14 10 years ago

Can I come see/play it?

#15 10 years ago

Also, I think I am the proud owner of your old BK2K now if that helps

That was Todd's... It is a nice machine. Don't know if it helps at all though, Todd doesn't get residuals on a second hand sale

(o-din filling in for Nilroc) Gladiators is a great game! GLWTS!

I just knew O-din would be all over this thread.....

My coworkers miss gladiators. Lots of shots and good "modes" to play. I had to disconnect the shaker as it made the people downstairs think a jackhammer was going off

What is with this pre pitching system? I couldn't figure that out.

Good luck with the sale!

Wiggum,
He is selling because he just likes EM's...he wants another 60 in his house like the old days.

I've had my HUO Gladiators for about a year now, and I still can't remember what lighting DOUBLE on the apron does. I used to know, but I'm too lazy to look it up. I think it was a carry -over from another System 3 game.

Edit- I just looked it up. Doubles all scoring. Duhhhhhhhh...............

Of course! Bring extra money because you'll want to pay more than I'm asking after you play it.

Send me a pm.....

I know, it's insane how loud (and powerful) the shaker is! You can't really describe it without experiencing its power firsthand...

I'd buy every game pinball4ever sold if I could! Todd always prices his games well and you can't find a nicer guy to deal with. Gladiator is a pretty darn fun game too. If I wasn't moving I'd be tempted to buy it. For all the guys that think pinball has gotten too expensive this is your game... DMD game with a shaker and a wizard mode for under a grand! GLWS.

#27 10 years ago

As already mentioned - Todd is a great person to buy from. I would buy this but then I'd get razzed from the Madison group....

(actually - I don't have any room left)

I didn't know you were moving. Shoot me an email or call me if you want to use my trailer. My bro has it now but he should be done with it soon.

Price reduced to $875.

go for it, snow!

Pete has always said he wanted Gladiators to be his 72nd machine, go get it!

Brad

Yeah, I wanted it to be my 72nd too which is why I need to sell it now, then buy it back later after I pick up my 71st game.

#35 10 years ago

There you go! As we have learned, you can never have too many... And you can always ask for visitation rights.

Brad

#36 10 years ago

Well, I just won a tournament a couple weekends ago....and the game was a Gladiators. (Trophy and everything...).

It was the first time I ever really got to play the game, too.

So, I have kind of been on the lookout for one.

It will definitely shake up the line-up.

With the shaker motor in Gladiators, it would shake up more than his line-up!

#39 10 years ago

Pete, please buy it or I'm going to end up with another...

#40 10 years ago

Gladiators is the beast of all pinball machines.

#41 10 years ago

It is my intention to purchase it, but it all hinges on getting it to Expo.

Pete

#42 10 years ago

Good. People around here have to stop tempting me with machines.

#43 10 years ago

bump for a fun game at a nice price

#44 10 years ago

I passed. Goat and Pete can fight it out.

Great price for this game! It has its issues but WTH do you expect for this price! If I had one fewer projects currently I would have grabbed it.

#45 10 years ago

The third and final Nintendo license that Gottlieb passed on for the TV show instead. It would have been The Legend of Zelda originally but they went for the TV show theme. Fun pin, someone will be happy!~SpOoKy

#46 10 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

I don't really need to fight it out. Honestly, if I had space somewhere that wasn't down stairs, I'd be picking it up tonight, but the weight of System 3 games coupled with the fact I have no where to currently place it... I'd love it, but unless Pete somehow doesn't end up with it and I have time to think about it for another week, I don't think I can convince myself to pull the trigger.

It is a surprisingly weird / cool game for what it is. For all those people whining about how there are no good cheap DMD games, this proves them wrong.

#47 10 years ago

Game is still available.

PmWolf wants it but I'm not 100% sure that I can make it to Expo this year (and bring the game to him).

I *MIGHT* be able to assist with that, Todd. I will be going one evening into the morning. LMK if you need an assist!

Thanks for the offer Dave! I really don't want to inconvenience you or anyone else. I'd really rather sell it locally so it can be inspected in person, but if I find out I'm going to Expo for sure I have no problem bringing it down for PmWolf.

No problem. I understand. It would give me a good excuse to use the wife's pin hauler and I'd have the ability to get a game. It would be an unplanned thing, for sure.
