PM sent.

Quoted from AlexG:

Parting out Stern Stars that the bottom cabinet is beyond repair (bottom dry rotted out).
MPU has substantial acid damage, lamp driver also has acid damage but not nearly as bad.
Let me know what you want/need and make an offer. I can send pictures of specific parts and I can test the displays in my Globetrotters.
Located near St Louis (Glen Carbon, IL) but, of course, willing to ship most parts.

Where oh where could you have played a copy of this in nice shape?
Who restored it?

-Dave (Doc)

Quoted from DaveH:

It's a bummer. I played a beautiful copy of Stars for the first time over the weekend and LOVED it. Hopefully the parts can help someone else keep more of them working. What a wonderful classic.

Thanks Dave. It was a crowd favorite that's for sure during our Classic League finals. Glad you loved playing it. I didn't know what to expect once I was done restoring the playfield and mechs and plunged my first ball into play on it. Boy this game is well kept secret. Well....up until now. =)

The one pictured above by ballylooloza looks very sweet as well. Mine just needs the cabinet attention now that his has to be perfect all the way around.

Quoted from DaveH:

Dave, that thing was gorgeous and played fantastic. Nice job! If I hadn't bought 2 games already this week I'd try to talk you into selling it to me.

Well it is/was around here that's for sure. The game has to be restored just right to appreciate the game play as I played one that wasn't gone through a few years back and it left me not caring about the title.

Quoted from DrJoe:

Since when is Stars a "well-kept secret" Dave? Killer game.....top 3 classic Stern for me!
