Picked up this NOS Paragon PF last year.
Commissioned Ron Kruzman to restore/clear it in June 2013. It's been curing ever since.
Price: $1,800.
IMG_9038.JPG IMG_9049.JPG IMG_9048.JPG IMG_9033.jpgIt was a lot of work to get those inserts round. Though I don't want to piss off the bally people. Maybe it was a bronze I don't know but I love that pf, and wish I could buy it!! It came out so good. If you know my level of perfection, you can be assured that you will be very pleased with this pf.
good luck, rk
I still have my unrestored NoS pf ... Destined for Ron when I get my arse in gear. Tempted to just buy this one and move on...
Thanks guys! Here's the story behind this PF/sale...
In 12/12, I bought a Paragon and NOS PF out of NY (I'm in Florida). I bought the PF because it was rare/available and I didn't know how nice the PF was on the example I was buying (looked nice in the pics, but wasn't able to see in person). Turned out the Paragon had a minty PF (pics attached)...convinced this is a HUO example. So nice, that I couldn't justify a PF swap. No doubt that this NOS/Kruzman PF would look sharper, however keeping the natural beauty "all original" was both smarter and less expensive (from my perspective, at least).
Nevertheless, I decided to have Ron restore/clear the PF and simply keep it as "art". Now I'm planning for a move and don't think I want to take this with me (I'm also thinning the herd a bit). I'd much rather find a Paragon fanatic on the cusp of a high-end restoration that could put this PF to good use. I know it's expensive, but I can tell you I'm not making any money on it! Ron's the "go to" guy for restoring Paragon PF's...he has vast experience and the PF is second to none.
IMG_7365.JPG IMG_7366.JPG IMG_7367.JPGThat playfield looks sweet. However, is it dimpled correctly? I don't see a dimple for the mini-post that should go in front of the spinner arm. It could be my eyes or just the pics...
Regardless, there are ways to overcome that... playfield looks really nice.

You are correct...no dimple for the mini-post. I can't comment on correctness, since this is the only NOS Paragon PF I've ever owned (so I have nothing to compare it to). Ron has seen a bunch, so he is the best person to answer the question. Even though I've never personally done a swap, I would imagine installing one of the NOS PF's involves some hole drilling/tweaking.
That's a true work of art, which I would love to install in my Paragon.
Alas....$1800 smackers is way out of my reach.
