This game is so close to being amazing, but falls just a few C-hairs short in certain areas. Main flaws are on the cabinet as you can see some touch ups. It is my 3rd Shadow, but my last had a mint cabinet. If only I could have combined the cabinet from that previous Shadow, with the PF of this one

That PF is sweet. One look at the Sanctum tells you what to expect.

Oh man. Drooooool. That translite would need to go of course. And I highly recommend whoever gets this have Chestnut do the shooter too, it looks great chromed. But really, gorgeous machine, someone's getting a keeper.

Don't chrome the shooter - black nickel is the way to go. Can't wait to restore my pf. Good luck with the sale - beautiful machine!

To each their own of course, but the movie gun the shooter is based on is nickel plated, and with the black cabinet I prefer the chrome to contrast. I'm super happy with the job Mike did on mine.

This is one of my all time favorite pins, a true player's game, whoever gets this is going to have a treat breaking it in.

#9 10 years ago

Agree, back nickel is the way to go. PM sent

#10 10 years ago

Somebody please buy this....I don't know how long I can resist.

#11 10 years ago

Bump for Dave, and boo for me not having enough money to buy it. Somebody's getting a winner, guessing I'm going to see the "Sold" sign pretty quickly here!!!

#12 10 years ago

a wise young boy leaving the dentist once said, "Is this real life?" (holy crap those pictures are awesome)

#13 10 years ago

Wow, nice!!

#14 10 years ago

Simply Beautiful. If I had the cash I would upgrade mine that is amazing looking and a keeper of a title. IMO

GLWS should not take long looking like that.

#16 10 years ago

I will take it.

#17 10 years ago

Not that this needs any bumps since it's likely sold but I seen/played it in person and it's very nice. If I already didn't have a nice Shadow I would be getting it myself.

#19 10 years ago

well.. that is the fastest decision I have ever made for $4500.

#20 10 years ago

Likely a great one. Stunning example.

#21 10 years ago

This thing flew off the shelf, tons of PMs on it. Trout was the first to say he'd take it though at asking price. Deposit made and sale pending.

#22 10 years ago

On one hand, I think that buyer spent a lot for a Shadow. On the other hand, this is an extremely nice Shadow and I'd rather spend $4500 on a nearly mint W/B game than most newer Sterns, I think.

#23 10 years ago

it is alot.. but how often do you see a nice shadow? how often is it cleared? how often is there no gaping hole in the sanctum.. not often was my thinking..

#24 10 years ago

I will sell mine and this will be a 1500 investment.

No doubt about it... Congrats. Beautiful machine.

Yeah. Gaping hole sanctums seem to be the rule rather than the exception these days. I just picked up a nice non gaper too.

Congrats!

#27 10 years ago

congrats trout! i shouldnt of hesitated

#28 10 years ago

I guess this is a good place to state that there will soon be another shadow for sale

There's no bigger turnoff than a dirty or worn Sanctum, is there?

Who cleared that pf, Dave?

#31 10 years ago

Talked to Dave, He does not know who cleared it.

#32 10 years ago

I'm with ya Trout. I actually think $4500 is low for this. Where do you see TS clearcoated?! No sanctum wear ever to worry about.

I was just considering buying this one, and selling mine. The difference would be $1500, but a solid cc'd TS.

Grats!

#33 10 years ago

That is one sweet looking Shadow.

Very, very nice.

Hate my life.....cant afford....but want.....so badly....

Grats!

+$1500 for the swap took me about 2 seconds to justify.

#36 10 years ago

The Shadow wAs known for having the power to "cloud men's minds", but- after seeing the pics of that crystaljestically cleared PF, I'd say he's got a s#!tload of work to do to overpower THAT fine specimen!

Bump! (...in my pants!)

#37 10 years ago

F$&#!!! Id love to have this..... I wouldnt even sell my current shadow, id literally take it down to a friends house, so when i travel to see friends and family id have another shadow to keep me sane.

#38 10 years ago

I have a random Shadow-related question -- can anything be done to prevent future sanctum wear? Or is it just one of those things that "probably" won't happen to a machine that's not routed?

#39 10 years ago

if there is not mylar on it, that would be the thing to do.

#40 10 years ago

I have a mylar on mine. It was a huo TS, and I think the mylar went on before it was played. Only explanation I have anyway. Beautiful TS.

#41 10 years ago

Yes, definitely mylar over it still. I had my Shadow field cleared as well and discovered an ever-so-slight crack by the sanctum about a year after installing the cleared field. There's mylar on it now...

I'm not a chrome guy but damn the chrome side rails look good on this game. Really might have to add it to mine.

#42 10 years ago

Yeah, with the title I thought 4500? Machine really looks great. Cleared, it's a beast.

#43 10 years ago

great buy, demand is getting higher on this game, plus it looks insanely clean. one of the nicest ones I have seen.

is it high for just a shadow? maybe a little. is it high for the one listed? absolutely not.

#44 10 years ago

Anyone else have a similar condition shadow they may consider letting go if the price was right?

Never! I already made that mistake once. This one stays!

#46 10 years ago

i was chasing a fairly nice one about two years ago for $1400 and i had it on the line, lost it, had it on the line a year later (didn't even have the bait in the water) and then lost the damn thing again. That game and Whirlwind have been eluding me for years!

cant blame you but im still holding out hope someone has one for me, anyone with a nice condition machine that may be on the fence about selling PM me and we can discuss

Poor taste. Open your own wtb ad. You are in someone's fs ad.
