This is disappointing. Not sure what the company gains by depressing the secondary market when the LE run is supposedly sold out...

You certainly have a right to establish and follow whatever policies you like. I just hope this has been publicized (I think not) so that well-intentioned second hand buyers don't get an ugly surprise. I would think this would have happened already - or is this policy a change in practice?

[from a de facto employee on the highlighted thread...]

"Enough already on this topic.

The game is covered when it changes hands. Period. End of sentence. Anyone else telling you otherwise hasn't a clue what they are talking about. If you buy a second hand game you are going to get support."

- Sounds like either inconsistent messaging and service execution or some Clinton-quality wordsmithing here (support versus warranty?). If the company has been treating all the same to now, this just sounds like sour grapes...

I'm getting uncomfortable with my Hobbit order...

Quoted from beelzeboob:

Why would you get uncomfortable?

Good points all around, and I certainly wouldn't be looking to sell in the first year (so the reigns on flippability aren't a negative to me personally).

I'll just say a combination of the general risks of prepayment, bad vibes from seemingly "out of nowhere" blasts like this, the snail's pace of WOZ deliveries, lack of updates on Hobbit, and the drop in WOZ prices is making me lean towards backing out and waiting to buy one when they materialize... Just my choice, and I do hope for the best for the company and its customers...

Quoted from Leechman:

I believe the confusion comes from the ramblings of uninformed posts. At least that's how I feel anyway. I for one hope nothing but the best for both companies so I can keep buying great games from both in the future.
Peace brothers!

Don't you think this is unfair given the mixed messages coming out of the JJP camp? It's too easy to blame the community (or selected members) for this stuff. Jack needs to hire a decent Marketing/PR person for sure - the messaging is inconsistent and confusing, and having the CEO drop in randomly to argue with people in forums is not the way to do it...
