Quoted from vid1900:

Even those NIB Black Knights had un-leaked batteries from the factory.
Something about modern batteries that makes them instantly leak in pinball machines.

Not if you use non-rechargeable lithium's.

Quoted from LitzDoc:

I am just saying that I find it interesting that some people have no problem spending that kind of dough on a pinball machine. I have spent that on a wrist watch

I guess that sounds a little contradictory.
To each his own I guess. That is why we all work.

Hey I collect watches and pinball machines as well......just not at the level being talked about in this thread. I just don't see ANY difference. In fact in my experience pinball machines hold their value better than watches if that is being taken into consideration.

Quoted from MrBally:

Since it seems like this is becoming a "mine's bigger" thread related to watches, I'll throw one in and it will be pinball related. No, it's not a Rolex, Tag or Piaget, It's an Elgin. Bally liked to support local businesses. Alas, Elgin had already shut down their Illinois manufacturing operations and moved them to South Carolina. This was given to me around 1977.

A very fitting watch for you!
