>>added another 22 pics of game<<

One of the customers of the shop I sell my antiques and collectibles at has asked me for assistance in selling his pinball. I was expecting some "D list" EM title, but you could have heard a pin drop and my jaw hit the floor when he told me it is a HOME USE ONLY, ONE OWNER, MONSTER BASH, with less than 260 hours of play time. From day one, he has covered it with a sheet to prevent cabinet fade, and he said it has the Cliffy protectors. I got the feeling, to steal a line from the movie Ferris Buelller's Day Off, he rubs it down with a diaper...lol.
He is moving and would like to sell the game prior to his move.

Obviously this type type of quality comes at a priming, he is looking for $13999(orig asking price) NOW ASKING 11k. If interested, let me know and we can arrange you to check it out if you are interested. Game is located in Long Island NY.

I did...lol...dumb ipad!

Yeah, the timing might not be ideal, but I figured no harm in my trying to help him sell it. I thought there may be somebody who wants an original version in amazing shape, regardless if a remake is made or not.

Quoted from Khabbi:

I know someone that may act like they want to buy it and then back out after it's all said and done if you want his email.

I'm not sure I get that one? Inside joke?

Quoted from jfh:

Whatever you do, don't tell him that a game in similar condition sold in Colorado a few weeks ago for $3500 (or maybe $3000, I forget).
Kidding aside, $14k is a tough ask in the current market. I suspect most looking for a primo MB are going to wait until Expo and see if that's the next remake from PPS (AFM and MB seem like the best candidates).
I would have been interested in this game between $10k-$12k last fall, but not now (I have an MB restoration in progress).

I imagine there is wiggle room in his price for any serious buyers wanting a top notch original version

Quoted from Imeh:

Did you mean total plays or hours of play? Sorry, just confused but there is a big difference.

He only told me the total HOURS of play

Quoted from TaTa:

If this "friend" of yours bought it NIB and has to sell it due to moving, then why so high of a price. My best friend picked up a HUO one owner 250 plays for 12.5K before the refake came to fruition. With the potential of A title games being remade, you have to be a little more aggressive in formulating a starting price. I learnd this the hard way with me selling my MM.

Dude, stop with the air quotes. I never said he was a FRIEND. In my opening post I clearly stated he is a customer of the shop I sell some of my stuff at and he asked if I could help him sell it. It's HIS game, HIS asking price, and HIS decision what to do with his game and what profit margin he wishes to make with his game, My comment of saying that there is likely "wiggle room" was based on the conversation I had and the vibe I got from him about his price.

I get it, he wants a lot of money, but that's his peragative, and maybe he might get stuck with the game, or wind up dropping the price way down. But I am simply HELPING somebody sell their game....and I get attacked? I swear it is situations like this that sour so many people to the community and the boards.

$13999 and no ColorDMD, PinballBulbs LED's, or mirror blades? C'mon

Happy to negotiate a price so that you can get the game and put those in for yourself

#38 9 years ago

Spoke to the seller today, and he is cool with dropping the price, by $2k, down to $11k for a SERIOUS buyer!!!!!!
First come, first served.

Is a serious buyer as apposed to just a buyer one who is lacking sense of humour? good luck with sale

Hahaha

Quoted from BoozeMarlin:

Any video or additional pics of the playfield with the glass pulled?

Are you interested? I see you would be coming a long way, so you would obviously want to make sure your mind is at ease before mKing that drive, which makes all the sense in the world, and I am totally happy to help get you to a point where your mind is at ease prior to jumping in the car.
I can get you as many additional pics as needed(simply specify what ones you want- as originals covered a good deal).

Thanks for the interest!

Quoted from snaroff:

I have a natural beauty already with all the bells and whistles (that's been tweaked and plays like butter)...
Great pin...
