While I tend to agree, when we pay for them at around $5200ish up north..this at 4k seems like a steal.

MSRP for Metallica in the US was $4,995, so no one was paying $5200, that's for sure. Street price is obviously lower than that. Not saying this is a bad price, it's a good deal for someone for sure, but it's not "insane" to drop a few hundred dollars on a used machine that can still be bought NIB, it's called "normal".

It's a pretty good price. They cannot be had for much less than 4500 shipped NIB right now. For a local this is a no brainer.

Absolutely stupendous price! This is NUTS!! Round up the cows, this calls for a celebration!! Won't last long!!

GLWS!

Well mister, come to Canada and you won't find one under $5000k NIB. We get raped up here...and it`s even worst in EUR.

- no one is getting "raped" when they buy a pinball machine... find a better term than that... "rape" is a violent crime, and if you knew someone who had been raped, you might not just toss it around so easily...

- the machine in question was neither bought nor is being sold in canada or europe... what they sell for there isn't relevant...

It's all that extra healthcare they cram into the cabinet under the playfield.

and who knows what we'll get crammed into out cabinet when Congress quits playing around (and still getting payed I might add) and get's back to work. The government is shut down and they are still getting paid.

no, you aren't getting swindled either... no one is defrauding you...

you pay a few hundred dollars more for a pinball machine than we do in the states... for some other things, you pay less...

live with it, or move...

edit: apologies to the op for derailing your thread...
