Quoted from jalpert:We know it's less than $4,800
Reality has not yet sunk in apparently.

C'mon. There might be a few pinsiders out there that haven't seen those other threads
To be fair, this machine looks like it has some extras on it. Also it's available now, not in a month's time. Good luck OP.
Quoted from stretch2:Corners will be cut on the new one.
What's your basis for this claim (and what corners, specifically, will be cut)?
[EDIT: not busting your balls for trying to sell your game, and IMO you can and should ask whatever you want for it, but I am curious what you think will be substantively worse about the IM Vault Edition]
OP this thread could go downhill fast. Hopefully it doesn't and we can all stay friends
FWIW I hope you get a buyer. You do have extras on your machine and the game could be picked up today, unlike a remake.
Quoted from stretch2:Corners will be cut on the new one.
Oh... CANCEL YOUR ORDERS!!!!
I think Stern was doing way worse financially when they initially built them then they are right now. It sounds like they are actually adding a few things so....
Quoted from stretch2:The left and right corners...It's just a guess.
How can they make it in today's market for less money than before with more stuff on it ?
Cost of materials and labor have gone up in 4 years.
Do the math.
The game and rules are already designed. The factory has already pushed these games through. I'm pretty sure the materials, labor, and overhead is less than $5k per machine.
Quoted from stretch2:I don't understand the amount of negativity with regard to my thread.
I think it just comes down to the timing of it. You had to know this would happen.

They can afford to cut cost because the game has already been developed. They no longer have to factor in R&D. It's a matter of reproducing parts and Assembly at this point.

Did they up the more or is it the same as 4 years ago?
Quoted from pinball_customs:Please tell me I wasn't the only one trying to figure out what this "mod" was before realizing it was the light fixture above the game....

lol, I was trying to find that mod online to identify it. Should have checked Lowes
Quoted from stretch2:I was going to sell it before the announcement of a re-make which will be somewhat different.
I don't understand the amount of negativity with regard to my thread.
No negativity at all sir, honestly. Face it some will want to sell the one they have now for a newer model. Given the price they demanded before this mornings announcement it's plausible to suspect some impact on the originals sales price. That sir is speculation and curiosity not negativity.

Guilty of this.

Sounds like a few items
1.decals vs original IM screened cab
2.Metal back box with screws vs original IM with wood back box and coffin lock system
3.New pro snap lock / lock down bar vs LE style lock down bar on original IM
Not a huge deal for some but worth mentioning
GLWS Stretch
Beautiful game!
You want $6,200. a NIB game is $4,800. You have a few hundred bucks of mods, but you can see how it doesn't add up, right?

You picked up the people who are apparently trying to convince the world that an unmodded NIB machine means that modded old machines are worth WAAAAAAAAAAAAY less. One of your friends here was claiming that IM should now be a $3,000 game, since you can buy them NIB.
IM's NIB cost is higher than their other Pros, and I have never seen a Pro have a $1000+ price cut on it after opening the box. Recently, an unmodded Mustang Pro sold for $3750 in like a day of being listed, and everyone was talking about how incredible that price was. I have seen unmodded Metallica Pros selling for around $4100, which isn't even $1k off NIB prices. So... I don't know what world they are living in where IM is suddenly completely worthless.

On the flip side, to be fair, their NIB cost is *considerably* more than it was four years ago for one of these new run IM, so that isn't a good argument.
Quoted from DaveH:I think it just comes down to the timing of it. You had to know this would happen.
Agreed. I mean, you're posting something for ~$1,500 more than a brand new one that was literally just announced hours ago will cost someone. It's just bad timing.
Sounds like Pinside just has a case of remake fever
also to be fair to the OP, you need to
1) add up the costs of the mods
2) consider that that this game has removable bulbs so you can colour it any which way you want.
3) keep in mind this game has a real lockdown bar and head latch
4) he never said his price was FIRM.
Just sayin'...
Quoted from teekee:GLWTS Stretch... you have the REAL IM and everyone wants to steal it from you.
In that case, is that a fake AC/DC next to it?
Quoted from jayhawkai:In that case, is that a fake AC/DC next to it?
It's whatever you want it to be... Some of you guys definitely relish these opportunities. Sad lives some have.
Quoted from stretch2:Would also consider a Trade for a Star Trek LE + some cash from me.
Located in Baltimore, Md.
$5600
I can't help but laugh at how things work out.
When I was looking to trade my STLE for an IM you wanted to do a straight trade. How quickly things can change!
For those saying the new machine will have corners cut, did you actually read what they are doing to the machine to make it better? Check it out...
Quoted from Matt_Rasmussen:For those saying the new machine will have corners cut,
I believe they were referring to the corners of the backbox.

HA! I just figured it was some horrible arc reactor mod...
Quoted from stretch2:Corners will be cut on the new one.
Lol, since you said it lets be clear. The new one has several improvements. Most importantly LEDS with code to support them. IM with a new light show.
Quoted from stretch2:It's amazing that the Pinsiders with the least amount of points are the ones with the most sarcastic remarks.
Nice pics, love to see nothing but reflections from the glass.
Better?
Quoted from stretch2:I wish I could remember that but.....
I've still got the PMs.
