For Sale: 1995 Bally Indianapolis 500 pinball machine, $3500. This machine is a "red" cabinet version with no fade and the playfield features deep colors especially the blues. You can read a bit about this variation here on IPDB:

http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2853

The machine is 100% working including all LED targets, turbo, and Indy car unit. The cabinet and playfield colors are exceptional, I will follow-up with pictures of the machine for this thread and here is a link for full-size images:

https://plus.google.com/photos/102129504136600475424/albums/5940262941187384529

Above where it says "GASOLINE" in-between the flippers you can see a mark on the playfield, that is where too long of a screw beneath the playfield was used at some point. It looks a bit worse in the picture, but it is something that I want to identify. The lock hole on the left-hand side and saucer hole above the 'Green Flag' insert both look good. It has late-model Stern metal leg protectors, as they are on all of my machines. The machine is located at my home in Naperville, Illinois and includes an original manual. Feel free to contact me with any questions or interest. Thanks.

Buy with confidence from Brad - he's one of the good guys.

#7 10 years ago

Thanks Jeff! If anyone wants any references, please just let me know. Also, I just updated the Google-hosted pictures with an image of one LED target that broke tonight when playing the machine. All three were replaced when it was shopped out, but this one will need to be again. BAA has the targets for $17/each, so I will discount my price accordingly. As you can see from the picture it was a clean break, so I will glue it back together with some reinforcement for temporary use.

Heh, the one for sale down here might as well be called the "yellow" edition, nice looking cabinet.

#9 10 years ago

Wow. Just creamed my pants. Serious cabinet envy. Beautiful.

#10 10 years ago

I will pick it up it deserves to be in MN - 789 credit score

Hopefully sold.... PM sent

#13 10 years ago

I have responded to all inquiries, thanks. Also, I forgot to mention the playfield still has the factory Mylar. Thanks.

Here are some more pictures, including the serial number, close-ups of the side art, and one of the playfield lit up. You can see in the playfield picture that I have removed the previously mentioned target. I wanted to give an idea of the brightness, as it does have some LEDs installed. Thanks again.

Here are some more pictures and a video of game play from earlier today. The pictures show the repaired target, under the playfield, inside the cabinet, and test switch showing the right LED target is working again. It has been installed and you can see it working during the video of the machine in action.

The I500 has been sold. Thanks for all the inquiries and interest.

#17 10 years ago

I'm curious, but do cab decals exist for I500??

#18 10 years ago

Nicest example I have seen. Congrats on the sale.

#19 10 years ago

i've never seen decals for this game. Usually, they don't make decals for the $1500 price range games. No fear, dracula, Gilligans island, Black rose, Dr.Who and the sort, don't have decal sets. WHich most of them are faded to shit too.

#20 10 years ago

I500 hasn't been a $1500 game for 2-3 years now, Neo.

Totally agree ....

#22 10 years ago

not this one, but your usual player models you find are still in the midrange.

#23 10 years ago

This one is tempting especially since I live in Indy!

Is it more tempting because it sold 21 hours ago?

Used to own a "Suck on This " t-shirt. Back said YOU SUCK. Aye. Few rounds o'fisticuffs that shirt bought me.....

#26 10 years ago

you need to hang out with a different crowd. If your getting in fights from a shirt. your hanging out with people dumber than a box of rocks.

#27 10 years ago

Was a joke. What's not a joke is your grammar. Signed...Box O. Rocks

#28 10 years ago

A little harsh. All apologies. I just think before a guy starts dispensing pointers on intelligence, he could hit Spellcheck.

#29 10 years ago

This is the strangest I500 cab I have seen. Either a botched decal or selectively faded or selectively touched up!

IMO I believe this to be an average of about $2500. Red cab I really don't know. They don't come up often.

#31 10 years ago

I am sorry I am late to the game of revisiting my thread. Thanks for all of the inquiries and interest, it will be missed!

I wasn't saying your dumber than a box of rocks, I was saying the patrons of the place you would frequent would have people of a neanderthal status. And yes I know dumber is not a word, but it fits in the situation.

Very true Cap'n. As the newbie here with my one, lonesome I500, I am here to make friends, not enemies. So I truly apologize for my smart ass nature. The only reason I posted about that shirt was this : Jellikit (as in "Did you like it?"), is the 5th song on PRIMUS' 1989 brilliant debut album--"Suck on This". "You suck" is heard at every show. This was 20 years ago, but man, still a great album. So Merry Christmas to ya Cap'n. Hope you get some PRIMUS under yer tree.....

#34 10 years ago

And I completely missed the reference! Doh! I bought that album when visiting my sister up in DeKalb at NIU.

Brad

#35 10 years ago

Merry Christmas Brad. You suck. I kid, I kid....

#36 10 years ago

When I saw the name, dug up my old Primus. "Suck on This" just incredible. Les' bass runs blow my mind !

#37 10 years ago

Man.. 3500ish for a clean I500? Red cabinet.. but wow. Hope you got what you were looking for. Can't believe people pay that much more for clean cabinet art.. vs clean ramps/PF/etc.

Good for you!

#38 10 years ago

I have a CD somewhere of theirs where they covered some songs and it was a good time for those short rides. I am thinking you were a race car driver.

For me, unfaded clean cabinet means more than anything else, as I absolutely hate decals on cabinets. So if it's not already a shit decal job from the factory, then I don't want a redone cabinet.
