Great idea suggested to give the machine to one of your trusted best friends for $1700 as collateral. Once you get sorted out, you get the machine back after repaying the $1700. Plus, you still get to play the machine at his place!
If you lived in Toronto, I'd consider doing this just to play the game for a couple months!
