Okay, what, exactly, did Gene do besides running a business with only himself in mind? Isn't that what most do? Isn't that what PPS is doing here?
Seriously, I wanna know. What's the story here? I'm new to the actual hobby (2009) but I've been hunting down location pinball my whole life. Sometimes, when I read about dudes going bankrupt & folks wishing him the worst, I think it would have been best that I kept it that way. I've only known Gene as the IPB guy at shows. Seemed like an old man in the hobby who had the right amount of money at the right time. I always took the poorly spoken words about him as words from those who had a bone to pick from a jealousy stand point.
Enlighten me, Pinside, for I do not know the whole story & I feel like most here do not either.
