I apologize. My last thread was closed as I did not properly establish an asking price for my machine. Given how obscure/rare/unique this game is, with virtually no established market for it, I struggle immensely establishing a price. If interested, whether in a cash or trade offer, please let me know and we'll go from there.
Well ...
I've been slowing reducing my collection due to home renovations and losing my pinball space, and it's time to put some feelers out for one of the most obscure games in my current, and past collection.
This is a true prototype Game Plan machine called Global Warfare. It falls into the same arena as King Kong, Loch Ness Monster, etc., when it comes to obscurity and rarity. This machine is known to be 1 of 10 prototype games manufactured. I don't think all 10 have been accounted for, but this one is fully complete and working. What's so intriguing about this game is that it is a Roger Sharpe design, and has some of the best features of beloved Game Plan games like Andromeda/Cyclops with the lower left bumper adding chaos to the game. This game is also a widebody, so it has some amazing geometry and shots that go across the vast play surface which is so unique and fun.
History goes that this game was given to one of Game Plan's suppliers to either be used as a test site, or a gift. The owner of the company brought this home, and was then purchased by me. At the time, the game was not working, but a lot of research, time, and reverse engineering went in to make this game 99.9% working. There are two lamps that are not currently working - the 'G' and 'L' on Global Warfare. If time allots, this issue might get addressed, but it's the only thing not 'working properly' on this game.
The machine is in fantastic cosmetic shape. The playfield is remarkable, and the cabinet is very nice. The backglass is nice, but there is an area on the top that has flaked off, unfortunately. The rest of the glass is in tact and does not seem fragile in any way.
I'm not interested in creating any sort of auction format, but with a game this obscure/rare, it's extremely difficult to put a price on it. If you have interest, whether cash or trade, please let me know.
