The FT topper is one of pinball's most iconic toppers, IMHO.
I will NEVER forget how hilarious I thought the flopping fish was when I first encountered FT in a bar back in 1992.
When I bought my FT, the presence of the topper was a key feature that "reeled me in" - my FT won't be going anywhere - it is an all-time favorite. Some people deride FT because of the shallow ruleset or because of the (some people say) "limited number" of shots to make. I find this early-era DMD game to hold appeal exactly BECAUSE of its simplicity, ease to learn and enjoyment while playing. Who does not love to kill the water skiers? Also BIG POINTS for being one of the last great WHOLLY ORIGINAL THEMES with great art and lighting to match.
Is the topper worth $500 ? Whilst I agree with the "must-have" opinions many Pinsiders are expressing, now it is 3 weeks after the original post and the seller is saying "still available" - so the market seems to e speaking.
Recommendation: Try $350-400 as the price and see what happens.
