I'm very seriously exploring the hunt for a Tron LE, but I want to get an idea what the interest would be in my Pro since, well, it would need to go.
Here is the scoop:
I'm the first owner. Technically it wasn't NIB, it was unboxed at a dealer and had a dozen balls on it when I got it...so I guess technically it also isn't HUO, but call it what you will...

First run...so 3D backglass.
Shaker
NEW (but not installed) Eli's lit ramp kit
Full Cointaker LEDs (flashers too)
Lit recognizer
Arcade cabinet mod
cliffy on scoop
superbands
Hallmark cycles (not installed)
Playfield slider rails
Clear protectors around flipper buttons
Black pincab protectors (never got around to upgrading to the metal stern-style)
I also have a set of FF backbox speakers (not installed) but not the sub (that's moved over into AC/DC)
Still have the original parts (recognizer, arcade cab, playfield pegs)

It's just a sharp, clean, fast machine!
Pictures speak, so here are a bunch..

Just throwing out a number here...$5900 as-is, $5600 without Eli's kit.

I am not 100% positive I'd sell, so please don't try to negotiate much with me here. If the game doesn't fetch what I'm after, I will just keep it, shop it, install Eli's kit, and play the snot out of it.

Keep the Eli ramp kit and install it on your Tron LE once you get it. The Eli kit is brighter and less washed out than the stock LE setup.

Nah, I wouldn't do that. Partly because I need the cash

Don't waste your money on an LE then. I have tons of play on both versions, I went with a pimped out PRO. Just as good with Eli's kit IMO...minus the one missing multiball mode...

#5 6 years ago

Nice lookin' pin.

I'd save the cash and find a nice congo instead. Same layout.

Your flipper button mylar is on backwards.

Have both and can confirm, which is why I'm probably not keeping the Congo.

I finally got a chance to play Tron at papa this weekend, and yes, very similar layout to Congo. Great pin though. I love congo, so I did enjoy Tron.

I can't agree more. I 'm in the same boat.

I always enjoy when sellers make threats. GLWTPFS

Call me crazy, but I see precisely no problem with a seller saying "Don't bother lowballing me; I'm not desperate."

He's saying the price is firm. NBD.

No, he's not saying the price is firm. Read it again.

Bump.

KB
Sounds reasonably close to firm.

You know...if someone "asked" instead of assuming....

Just kidding.

Seriously, I have a little room to work with people, but not a ton. Eli's kit in or out, picked up in person vs delivered vs me meeting someone...I do have options here. Cash NOW is a big part of it.
If it's being picked up by NAVL or something, it's a lot harder for me to deal with meeting them, etc.

I may have a lead on an LE, so that's also a factor.

So...someone wants to throw cash at me, you never know what will stick. But nothing crazy low.

#15 6 years ago

PMed you

#16 6 years ago

Replied to. Too low, so still open for interest...

#17 6 years ago

Bump for a monday...

1 week later
#18 6 years ago

Labor day bump for Tron...!

#19 6 years ago

DROP! $5700 takes it all...or $5400 without Eli's kit...

#20 6 years ago

Dropped the price again....someone make me an offer....I have a Tron LE waiting for me, but this has gotta go!

#21 6 years ago

Trade you AVLE for it. With Eli's kit.

#22 6 years ago

Thanks, but I'm actively after a Tron LE on this one.

#23 6 years ago

Just curious. You posted awhile back that you weren't digging Tron and were considering a sale. What changed your mind about the game? Or why do you think you'll like the LE more?

Good luck in your pursuit.

#24 6 years ago

Good luck Greg. Really tempted here but a bit out of my budget.

#25 6 years ago

Always open to offers Pinphila.

Nelson, I changed my mind. Played a few games and really rekindled my love for this machine. And I've had some cash shake loose so I've got the balance for a Tron LE if I sell this fella.

Tron was my first Stern and I love the theme and the game...

#26 6 years ago

Morning nudge! Two potentially interested parties, but cash has yet to rear its green head!

#27 6 years ago

Tron LE on the hook, but I need this guy gone...throw out an offer, you never know what might stick!

#28 6 years ago

What happened to the time when a Tron Pro would be sold in about 2 hours? Is everyone holding out for TWD?
I own a Pro, but have played an LE a buch of times. The drop targets are nice, but the biggest difference is the feel of the flippers. No idea what it is, but I like them much better. Other than that, it's all eye-candy.....very nice eye-candy. GLWTS.

#29 6 years ago

I think 5400 (no ramp kit) is very reasonable... I saw a Tron pro sell last week for over 5K... The holidays should sell your Tron, no doubt.

#30 6 years ago

Clearly the pinball market has collapsed...for about the 10th time since I started collecting in 2002.

I'm surprised we aren't all eating dog food by now.

Not to sidetrack this thread, but an IM in great shape just sold for $3900, what the hell is going on with this market?

Bump for the OP - GLWS

Should be the 12th collapse....seems to happen EVERY year about this time. But, maybe this time, it's...for...real....

A "newer" pin that sells for 600 more than when it was sold new, and was just recently "re-released" is not a shock is it?

That one had significant playfield wear.

Tron bump.

#35 6 years ago

Tron bump indeed...reasonable offers...

#36 6 years ago

I sent you one . Kidding. Good luck Greg! It looks great just wish I had extra cash.
