Quoted from Collin:Let's analyze this.
Base game - $2400 (being generous)
Clearcoat - $100
Chrome rails and lockdown bar $100?
Full non-ghosting LEDs and LEDs in GI and Flashers $200
Pinbits Plastic Protectors $25
Cliffy on shooter lane and Rat hole with Colored Cliffy Posts $25
White rubber with Purple Superbands (Not really an add-on; a pinball should have new rubber when being shopped.)
Pinball Pro Sub and Backbox kit $200?
Includes Prototype Slings not installed
$3900 obo Lowballs will be ignored.
....dude is asking $3900. It looks to me like there's about $3000 worth of game there at best... but everyone knows you don't get your money back out of mods.
So clear coated playfield would go for $800-$1000. And then it needs to be installed. I can do it myself in about 40 hours or I can pay the local restorer about $1000 to do the labor. I make more than $1000 in 40 hours of work so I'd be better off paying the local restorer. This is $2000 over the "base". Let's say the base is $1500. Chrome playing is going to be about $300. The $2000 for playfield installed. Cabinet in that condition. Again I can sand down a cabinet and redecal it assuming I can even buy decals. My local artist charges me $150 to paint unfade a cabinet. So let's go with that. A clear coated pf and cabinet of that quality. If I wanted a game in that condition, I'd be into it about $4k.
Some of us don't collect a bunch of junk. There's more to each game than the title.
