These will work in any late 70s early 80s Bally, Stern, Gottlieb Pin; please check your machine to ensure they use the same button assemblies. Make sure your game uses similar mounting techniques before requesting a place in line.

I had two sets of PCBs; one of which is slated for Phase2 of the Star Trek: Mirror Universe project - The other is for sale here.

What you'll get:
* 2qty hand-built PCBs with colored LEDs.
* 2 qty 2pin power connectors to tie into your own 6.3VAC GI circuit.

Checkout the video of the prototypes before and after installation:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/52968060@N00/4142107805/

What you'll need to supply:
* reuse of your flipper Bushings.
* reuse of your mounting screws.
* reuse of your existing flipper switch.
* A Pair of Translucent Flipper buttons: PBResource.com sells transparent red or green. My Shapeways shop at: supplies Translucent clear:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/button-patentcopyright-owner#post-1849919
if going on a Star Trek machine.
* a 6.3V GI connection point

What you'll need to remove:
* existing opaque button
* back support plate.

Let me be clear; this is not a High Volume Manufacturing operation. The PCB set was hand assembled; tested; and ready for packing and shipping.

Price is $89 + shipping. This price will require manual splicing into the 6.3VAC circuit of the Pin.
I have only this single pair of boards for sale at this price.

If your interested; let me know by PM or here in the thread.

Zitt!

Now that my BH is running and I'm about ready to clean it up. Did you ever get the flipper button light up going in a sys 80? Like black hole?

#10 7 years ago

Confused... unsure why you assume it doesn't work with BH. It's actually the second machine I installed them in... my Brother's Black Hole I gave him for christmas one year.

Now that I look at the product name... it becomes confusing.
Rest assured; The "bally" flipper button mod works one any machine which as two things:
1) The Early solidstate Buttons
2) 6.3VAC GI

Oh yes, because it said Bally in the name and I swear I read you were mentioning gottlieb.

Do you think you'll do a run of blue led, or would the translucent blue plastic look good with the warm white? Otherwise I was thinking of going all red as the rest of the buttons are red (on black hole).

Thanks! It's an awesome mod

#12 7 years ago

I had nearly ZERO interest in the mod... as a result; I'm not currently planning on any additional runs on the project.

*IF* I were to do any other colors; it'd be natural white... as they'd work with any color button in front.
I'd grab the last set of Warm White LED and put a blue button in front of it... maybe even do a black housing.

#13 7 years ago

I'll post a bunch of pics and video after they go in I ordered a few colors of button/housings to try.

Thanks again zitt!

zitt, do you have any in stock?

#17 6 years ago

I have plenty of Red and Green LED; but the White LED versions were hand built on empty spare boards which I no longer have stock of.
To do more White LED boards; I'd need to get at least 15 people interested in a new build.

#18 6 years ago

well ill take 2 whites, thats a start, lets see if we can get another 13 orders

#19 6 years ago

I would take two sets of cool whites. Mike

#20 6 years ago

PSD4Me... I ca won't divide this into "cool" and "warm" shipments as I highly doubt we'd have enough interested people to do 15 of each color. We'll take the middle ground and do "natural white" which would be between those to colors and should fit all applications.

#21 6 years ago

We need to dump this link in the bally 80 game threads Generate some more interest. Where are all those black hole people.... :-p

#22 6 years ago

Set list - "natural white" (between cool and warm)

rooftop - 2
psd4me - 2

This mod kicks ass !!

NorthVibe,
Is there room on the front coin door for a rotating flipper button mod?
Or were you just planning on lighting with a standard LED flexhead?

#28 6 years ago

There is room, but it would be tight?

I forgot to ask you about a led board to do that mod. I think it would be sweet

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

#29 6 years ago

I don't think the original board would fit in that location. It would stick out past the coin door.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/radiant-pinball-button-project
would work; but a last minute design issue killed after it had already been built in volume.
