Game - for sale

FS: City Slicker with serious cab damage

Added: 2018-10-29 14:54:36 UTC • Ended: November 4th, 2018
Condition: As is

Price

$ 400

Significant project. Serious cabinet damage. No backglass. Playfield wear (above flippers, around middle inserts). No lockbar or playfield glass. Complete boardset (no battery damage). Has legs.

This game ended up being more of a project than I thought due to the cab damage. Rare title with only 300 made.

The backbox was basically destroyed. The top and bottom panels of the backbox are intact but detached. The sides of the backbox have serious damage and the pieces are missing.

The front panel of the cabinet body has serious damage. The large missing chunk from the front is there, and has fallen into the cabinet. The rest of the cabinet is pretty much intact and only has minor fade.

To repair, you could probably get away with replacing the backbox sides and the front of the cabinet body.

Would prefer to sell to someone interested in restoring it. But, if nobody has interest in rescuing this one, I'll probably end up parting it out and turning the core into a test fixture. It's not a title that I have a high level of interest in repairing considering all the issues it has. There's probably at least $600 in parts.

I sure hope someone steps up. Worth saving IMO.
GLWS.

That thing looks a bit too far gone to me, just considering the rarity and odds of finding a backglass. I'm sure there are people out there with the skill to save this one but I think those parts would probably be best used saving the few other examples of this game out there.

There is one backglass available that I'm aware of in very nice shape.

Someone could probably get away with just replacing the front of the cabinet body and the sides of the backbox, and maybe patch up the missing pieces around the vent holes on the back of the backbox.

Damn, I would have loved to build another cabinet and save a game. If it falls through I’m interested.
Congrats on the sale
