i put this game up for sale a few months back. only got a few nibbles, then i put the sale on the back burner... dropping the price to move it now.

i bought this game a little over a year ago from a customer of my skateshop who had it in his home . it's been routed here since until 4-5 months ago, where it gets the utmost loving care by myself. it's a reimport, and the game is very nice overall. cabinet is beautiful 9.5+, and so is the playfield (i'll call that an 8.5 for good measure). plays great!

only flaw is the rottendog AV board recently started blowing a fuse, so its been off for months now. i haven't had time to look at it, so i would say this game is for someone who wants to work on the board or buy a new one ($250 at bay area). everything else works.

WOW......what is going on. I wanted a CV about 6 months ago and truly could not find one around my price point ($6K). The ones I inquired about weren't even this nice and nobody was willing to take $6K back in February/March.

Guys.....everyone can be in denial all they want but prices are coming down hard !!! Games that would sell in days or weeks if priced correctly are not getting "any action". This should be LONG GONE !!

Great price for a nice looking CV !!!! Unfortunately, I am out of room and you are a little too far away from me or I might get tempted as I want this title at around your price point.

Regardless, GLWS.....OP if you want to make a road trip to me and want to do a trade plus I give you a lot of cash ($4K) please PM me !!! I need to make some room and cash isn't the issue but space is and I don't feel like driving to NY.

Sold my CV for $6500 over the summer, with a mint playfield, full LED's, some spare parts, and a re-decaled cab. And I had it listed for a while. $6k for one with a bad board, a touch worse playfield, currently routed and a reimport .. I don't know if prices have exactly gone down. I think $6k firm is pretty much spot on for the price for this machine.

i guess its a bid, a real low one...but it's a bid

#13 10 years ago

Island.....I was going to give him about $2K in pins plus $4K cash.....LOL. I would never offer someone that low a price.....plus, he is driving to me as well. My fault for not making that clear......$4K is an insult for a CV and I was definitely throwing in a couple of pins so I could make space which is the issue for me right now....cash isn't but space is !!!

#14 10 years ago

Thanks for clarifying. I would jump on this since I am close and familiar with that table. Unfortunately I don't want to drop 6k right now. It will probably be 10k by Christmas so really a no brainer..

#15 10 years ago

prices have dropped a lot on certain titles. 8 months ago it was hard to find one for 6k. Now they are much less. Totan dropped a lot too. The bubble was at the highest 8 or 9 months ago.

Oyyyyy. Really. Thanks for your help with this thread. You made 40k yesterday by your own admission but feel a lowball offer and your routed opportunist pins are a good deal. Put this one in the theatre player or the solarium. You told us how big your house is.

#17 10 years ago

Schlock.....why don't you make a better offer rather then just trolling sites all day long. You might want to also look into some anti-depressants to help you as well......might cheer you up some.

I'm very cheered. I have a hep restored CV that is dynamite. I would invite you over but all nj people are bad right?

Come on that was a lowball backhand offer and island called you on it. Can't you ever fess up and say you got me. What did you add to Jon's thread beside planting a 4k seed. Oh and your trading a couple of pins, how about share those titles with us, 4k plus what, we all would like to know?

#20 10 years ago

Sclock....btw, that would be I am very CHEERFUL....Cheered is what someone does for you when you do something spectacular and I doubt "being cheered" has ever happened to you.

Time for me to bring down the BSD and then watch Game 1 of the series.....had a tough day today and tomorrow more of the same as I am taking the parents to Md. Live Casino to have some fun....another day in the life of HOP !!! Life is very, very good !!! Enjoy your HEP CV.

If it weren't for my MMR I would own this by now-- I played it last time I visited your place.....bad timing....

Wish I had a dollar for every time I'll hear this in the coming months.

Are there any pics? If so, I could not find them. If not, could you post some?

#27 10 years ago

$5500 is a very fair price for a CV in the condition described. It's mostly in line with where prices were last year, it's just not every day that a fixer upper goes up for sale.

Still, I bet it looks better than it sounds, OP a few pics would help you a lot!

i'll post some later today. i prefer any buyer to come inspect the machine in person though, so they know what they're getting.

#29 10 years ago

I have to say having played it first hand- and having decent standards on machine I restore....with love this can be beautiful. Jon's a good guy too.....a win-win!

#30 10 years ago

I'll trade you for my... CV? Nevermind....

#31 10 years ago

Very interested. Would be great to see some pics. I have family up there so no problem to get there and pick up. Please let me know if you are going to post pics and if not perhaps we can take it offline.

Thx,
Chet

I wonder how much your location is hurting the sale potential. Not a lot of collectors of large stuff in NYC, given how small the apartments are

I have to make it to reciprocal next time I visit my friends in NYC. I promise to drop lots of quarters off!

Dude WTF? He offered 4k plus a pin for a CV he's asking 5500 for. Seems like a reasonable offer unless its some broke down EM he's offering to trade.

#34 10 years ago

Although I haven't seen the pics, 5500 seems like a very fair price for a decent CV. I sold 2 very nice examples in the last month or so for 8000-8500, and they went pretty quickly.

This will be yet another great deal I let slip away. Want it bad ... but timing is crummy. Good luck on the sale Jon. My wife and I swung by your place back in September for some pinball. Great pins you have there.

Hmm...might be interested...PM going out...

#41 10 years ago

Damn,.,,too late

#42 10 years ago

bump.

due to a communication breakdown, the machine is still available for sale. at this point, i can no longer hold the game without a deposit, so the first person to enter the shop w cash takes it.

please PM me if you plan to come so i can make sure i'm here.

thanks much.

I dunno, I'm in the middle of Manhattan and have 6 pins in my gameroom. (OK, there isn't room for any more, but 6 is OK.)

The only thing that is hurting this sale is that we are missing pics of the shooter lane...I need at least 4 shooter lane pics.....This thread needs SHOOTER LANE PICS...
