I recently lost $1,500 selling a pin. Sometimes you just have to take a loss and move on. It's painful, but I'd still rather do that and ultimately get something I like significantly more in the process. Please understand that I am not suggesting that your situation is equivalent. It's just meant as a general observation. Like most other things, pins don't always retain their monetary value. I came into this hobby with that illusion, but I've since learned my lesson. As they say, "Education is expensive."
