ATTACK FROM MARS. $7900

This is a really nice game. All Original except for backboard decal, chrome flippers, and Martian inserts at coin slots. The playfield was completely disassembled; everything cleaned and polished. New rubbers and all LEDs. Very fun and such an awesome theme. Who doesn't like killing Aliens??

I would consider some trades + cash; NGG, ST, TFLE, IM, collector quality FT or Congo

Please feel free to contact me with questions. I will work with your shipper.

Thanks for the compliments. I really put a lot of care into shopping her out. Maybe too much because I have not put many games on her since, maybe 25 plays?

Nice looking AFM

How deep of a game is this?

Quoted from yoshootme:

Man is that a loaded question.

There's plenty to do and it isn't easy to Rule the Universe. So "deep enough" is a correct answer.

It might be the best game ever made.

thanks. I couldn't remember if "they" said Monster Bash was easy to beat or AFM. I would love to rule the universe.

#14 9 years ago

It's gotta be AFM that's easy. I suck, and I almost always get to the end on location.

I can't speak for that particular AFM but I'd say Ruling the Universe and Monster Bash (all monsters and all instruments) are about equally as difficult. And I wouldn't say either are easy. I've been playing my AFM for two weeks straight - a lot - and I've ruled the Universe only once (while getting to the mode thrice). And I don't suck.

#16 9 years ago

Well then, maybe I'm better than I thought! (And I was talking about multiple AFMs...not just one.)

#17 9 years ago

Come to me AFM.....come to me.

Beelze I'm trying to add this now. Man was that Metallica a good move. Thanks again for prompting me to ask enzo. Worked out great!

#18 9 years ago

i have had attack from mars forever and i have never ruled the universe

#19 9 years ago

You can't even rule Morris County! I kid...I kid...

Have you ever at least seen that blue insert flashing during a game?

If not that's truly depressing. I'll start a telethon.

Anyone that can put up over 1 million on WOZ is well above average.

For the average player it will take a while for them to achieve the wizard mode on AFM. The 5 way combo and the super jackpot seem to be the stumbling blocks for most people. I tend to fall short in the ships though as that shot is so dangerous I avoid it unless in MB (destroy the ship). I actively try for dirty pool too to try and knock out another ship quick. It's a shame that the code didn't allow for you to drop the target bank while in MB.

OP - Looks like a super nice AFM. GLWS Just because I know it will be asked at some point. You may want to advise on the SOL hole condition, especially being an original game. Maybe a pick without the cliffy too would help as if that is nice it will help validate the cost.

Nice and original AFM.

Isn't that a Congo in the background? You want 2 congo's?

My thoughts exactly. I said nothing because I just figured he's collecting them like stocks.

Five way? I consider that one pretty easy, since you don't need to string them together immediately. Helps when the lock shot and orbits are open.

The hardest by far has got to be the cities/ships. You have to strategize your multiballs around opening the forcefield so you can get as many low-risk multiball whacks on saucer as possible.

Second hardest for me would be Super Jackpot, as it's just tough anyway, but location games frequently have right flippers that aren't up to the task of lighting locks or hitting the jackpot shot.

+ 3 for saying "thrice"

#26 9 years ago

I am interested in a super nice Congo. I love the game, but not enough to have 2. The one I have is nice but has a few flaws like a scanned over lay under the coin door on front. I tend to get too picky. I just put it out there as an option.

#27 9 years ago

Regarding the SOL condition, it did need a cliffy as I'm sure it is understood the game got played. I can check to see if I have a pic prior to the cliffy, but I would prefer not to have to remove it for a pic. But it did have some wear though.

#28 9 years ago

They ALL need cliffys.

If you can't actually SEE any damage on an original AFM playfield that has a Cliffy, it's in pretty nice shape.

#29 9 years ago

If you install a mantis protector before wear you dont need a cliffy.

maybe its time to trade my NGG and FT for that AFM…What do you think beezle? (waiting for a response from a p.m. to dawassa). and for the short time i watched you play…you're not as bad as you think!

#31 9 years ago

I think that's a great move. I also think you should sell me that AC/DC...

Thanks for the compliment. Everybody gets lucky once or twice.

#34 9 years ago
